Hi man,
First of all, great video. Really informative. Keep it up!
I would like to ask for some advice. I will be conducting various outdoor interviews this summer, and thus will be needing to acquire a video camera and a wireless mic.
I know that your choice highly depends on what and where you will be shooting.
I need a standard, handheld mic (preferably with a noise cap attached to it, and I really need one that allows me to sync it to the video material without having to manually having to sync audio and video material.
I will not need any high-end products; mid-end would do it.
Thanks!

Someone please help me! I've always thought it's more simple to use your iPhone as a recorder. Can't i just get an xlr to 3. 5 adapter? Then the xlr from my shotgun mic goes directly to the adapter which goes into my phone? Does that rig not work? I have yet to test it, which is why i'm asking but if it won't work it's not worth the effort. Please help!

Oldie but goodie video! Was looking for a way to use my dynamic mic on my iPhone 6. Turns out that the 1kOhm setup didn't work for me, but a 1. 8kOhm resistor did the trick! Haven't tried any other resistors though as I stopped when it worked lol

Dude, great video with some great tips. I loved how you got some behind the scenes shots of you using the iphone in action. For me making the cables was a bit technical. I'm looking forward to watching more. Keep up the great work

It's so hard to find that cable in online store. Some of them not split between the mic and headphone, but just share the the audio for two person to hear. Can anyone give me a link to buy the iphone audio splitter? :(

Or you can use a direct box and a 1/4 > 1/8 cable (dirt cheap, especially if you're a guitar player. For those who don't know, a direct box's sole purpose is to adapt a guitar's (or other instrument's) 1/4 jack to XLR.
