It is very true at 8. 35 onwards what he said about using 3 cameras.
May be due to high budget film, it was possible.
When I went for BTS shoot for an advertisement ( About films production and advertisement for Ok credit. I found DoP changing the lens 16mm prime to 24mm, then 35mm, then 80mm, then 135mm for one scene( it comprised of 5 shots. Actors have to do the same act for 5 times.
It was really hectic to watch their efforts with only one camera and keeping. measuring the distance from subject to camera. If the actor walks, then dolly has to be moved backward slowly with the same foot movement of actors speed.
It was quite interesting for me to watch cinematography works.
I enjoyed it thoroughly while doing BTS shots.

I remember watching that action scene with zooms, I was impressed by it back when the movie was released, but only now got to know how they actually achieved those crazy zooms and speed ramps together. However, I'm still looking forward to watch someone do a step by step tutorial of stitching all three type of shots in post, seamlessly.

Ted. great job man, but in all videos you're too excited, feels fake, feels unnatural, maybe your like that in real life but for those videos just feels fake. We know you know these stuff, don't try to be more surprised that we know you're faking it. your guest it's not half excited than you. Anyway, trying to help. Thanks for the videos.

Ah, Larry Fong is great!
I love this kind of stuff. Been a huge movie geek my whole life, and I've been playing with cameras for a few years now. This guy makes me want to leave work early and go shoot something RIGHT NOW!

Amazing! More of this is for sure welcome! This was super bad ass. And I will remember and for sure use that Gaffer quote: Where's that light coming from? The same place the music is coming from.

Hey you're having an anxiety atk aren't you? What's that? Oh, I have those all the time. Take this half a Xanax. What? Just take it. Lol talk about peer pressure.
That last outtake, great.

Just curious, was this shot in LOG? I am still learning the exposure game and overexposing while shooting to bring down in post. Particularly night scenes like the bedroom scene.

Love the video and podcast but please normalize the levels on the podcast, love the interactions but when Tim bursts into laughter my ears pay a price. Cheers! Keep it up.

So amazing share! Thanks Indy Mogul for providing filmmakers such amazing content.
P. S. I love the fake pixel overlay while any shot from the movie is shown: P

I love your video and think they're really informative and entertaining. but that marker on paper is an unbearable sound. Like nails on a chalkboard!
reply

I hope you keep these sketches they draw out and have them sign each one. That's a retirement plan or a good way to support a charity.
reply

This is very interesting but the sound of the markers are killing me, I hate that sound so hard I almost skip this video for that.
