What if SimCity was more focused? Way more. Like, you only make one building instead of a city of buildings? Throw some Yoot into the mix and you've got Sim Tower, the excellent tower society simulation from Maxis and OPeNBooK Co

Loved sim Tower but I got to a point that half my offices all moved out and would not get new tenants until I changed the rent. I could lower it by 1 and increase to where it was and people would move in. Leave it until pay day and half of them move out again. Make it cheaper to rent, same thing happens.
This was along way into the game so I had the chaple so I don't think my issue was everyone was angry or I wouldn't of gotten that far but it meant I stopped playing as every time rent was due I had to go through dozens of max width floors adjusting prices which took ages.
Just another old game that I stopped playing due to something that felt like a bug. Theme hospital being the other, 3 levels from the end and receptionist stopped seeing people, so my rooms had zero people waiting but a huge queue at reception. Deleting the desk and placing a new one worked for 2-3 patients but then the bug came back. So it suddenly becomes a desk deleting sim.

I remember I made a 5 Star Hotel on Sim Tower. Of course I had to cheat early on being Hotel rooms are not available at first so I had to make the tower something else at first. By the time I was 4 Star I was making an idiotic amount of cash per day. But the cash was really up and down and unstable, being you relied on filling hotel rooms some days you wouldn't get many rooms filled. But it was still possible to make a 5 Star Hotel as I eventually achieved it. It was pretty awesome. =D

I remember playing the shit put of this as a kid! I do recall -beating- the game by getting the 5 star rating, filling every single usable space you could build on and making sure every single business/tenant in the building -happy-. Like, literally every square inch of building space was used One of the most satisfying moments in my gaming career.

I thought for the longest time I imagined this game. I remember I used to sit at the computer with my dad and watch him play. I only got a go at it a couple times but man was it good. I could spend hours just watching all the people moving around, like peeping into one of those tacky ant farms. Honestly it brings a tear to my eye

Got this game on Christmas day from my dad. I was 13, but I threw a tantrum and yelled at my pops when the game didn't work. I finally got it going, but I still regret acting like such a child. My pops was spending his cash to make my Christmas better, and all I could do was act like a little cunt.

I remember playing this at my grandma's house in South Carolina. It was the early 2000's and I was a teenager. To avoid going out and working in the hot garage all day with my Grandpa in the 90+ degree heat. Compared to putting mulch around all the plants and mowing the lawn, this game was tight.

Heres a hint if you open the help guide time speeds up a little(this is probably a glitch but it helps)
I could never get sims to really use floors past 60. No matter how many stairs and elvators i put around them and the express elevator. They still would say no way to get there.

I used to play this game on my old parents Power MAC II when I was a kid. I wpuld buuld a huge lobby make 2 floors of offices then leave the game on over night. When i woke up in the morning Id have a ton of money to build lots of stuff for the day lmao.

One of my best memories of this game was watching my cousins play and build up to maybe a 4-star tower then a fire broke out. Just seeing them panic as an inferno was blasting through everything was one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.

I loved this game so much. A game called Project Highrise came out on 2016-ish. It's LIKE Sim Tower but it lacks the simplicity and charm of Sim Tower. It simultaneously feels more and less complicated than sim Tower. Have you tried it?
