Dude, this is like, the best Christmas ever over and over for you, that is so awesome! I mean our parents had a decent idea with what we would want, but of course, as a fellow nerd, our desires are so niche, and literally every box is full of custom tailored to your niche wants so well! Really cool that you can share it with all your viewers, most of us wouldn't know half of the goodness of any of that. I tended hate old tech as soon as I could get something faster, now have a special appreciation for what it was then and to whom it means so much to now.

Re-watching this video i wish i remembered you said you wanted PCGamer mags from the late 90's-00's. I seriously just threw away 3 boxes completely filled a couple months back. i had them listed on ebay for a month or 2 and the shipping was crazy expensive because of the weight so no one bid even at $50+ ($130 s/h) - so i just tossed them. i truly didnt want to as i loved those mags so much, but as a collector some things have to go for other things to take its spot.

damn i have so many demo disks as well and i agree some demos where amazing: D
like corridor7 or sonic and knuckles 3. i remember the most played one was probably guimo and jazz jackrabbit.
begging my dad for a year to buy it. and he got it with the controller: D and then i never got far into it. the other worlds never appealed me.
i even have some games that u cant even find online. and over 10 versions of the old doom. mostly thanks to my uncle.

There's a great version of Lode Runner on the Palm Pilot (hint hint. Oh, and that Vendex came with a REAL keyboard. Nice to see the Enter key shaped properly (unlike so many of these newer keyboards with oddly shaped or placed Enter keys. And I dig the three Thexder boxes in the background. Very nice. P. S. That Hero-1 robot would be a truly amazing find; I've kind of been obsessing over that thing since the early 1980s and have yet to see one in person.

o damn my dad has a tungsten palm: D
i remember ''stealing'' it as a kid to play this weird strategy game on it with knights and trebuchets.
but after awhile he deleted it because i kept stealing the palm. i was obsessed with age of empires: (
and yeah after all these years he still uses the palm. its a bit hard to work with but it still works fine he uses it to store passwords and phone numbers on.

I suggest doing a multi part series of retrospectives on magazine/demo discs. Could split it into categories - games, utilities, mod/personalization software. This brings back such great memories of MacAddict magazines and their bundles CDs which were a treasure trove of demos and shareware back in the days where downloading your next game demo/shareware from HappyPuppy took the whole night on dial up!

short time follower, but love these videos. especially today where you got all those PCGamer discs - I actually have a ton of those just sitting around, but I like to keep them just for nostalgia sake. There were a few cool ones, and a couple had compilations of mods for either Quake or Half-Life or both. your video reminded me I need to check and see where I left my discs!

7: 10 gah, it's so frustrating when a floppy disk betrays you. this kept happening to me back in college, so during my group thesis defense, I made sure I had multiple copies of literally 5 floppy disks of the presentation. and sure enough, even if they were all new Verbatim floppies, only two were working when we were at the meeting room.

The whole point of the packaging for that floppy song is that it doesn't work.
There's an entire sub culture of non-useable media and the point is that it doesn't play or cannot be played. Check out record labels like Auris Apothecary for their sweet anti-cassettes, anti-vinyl and such.

The Axonix PCMCIA CDrom was sent in by me. The power connector plugs into a PS2 keyboard port and then you plug your keyboard into it for passthrough. It was paired with a 486 Toshiba laptop that had a PS/2 port on it. It was not cheap back in the day, I can't remember for sure.
