I think this is the best pack sims 4 has put out by far. It has twice as much content as other Sims 4 expansions. I loved rebuilding the hospital, police station, and laboratory and then actually getting to follow my Sims there to work. I wish more careers like this would have been added as more expansions came out.
I've had a lot of fun with retail stores over the years. I've made antique shops, clothing stores, hand-made furniture stores, bakeries, flower shops, and when Realm of Magic came out I made a magic shop. You can get really creative because you can sell anything and creativity is so essential with sandbox games. I also loved the Astronaut career and I was totally shocked the first time I discovered Sixam.

Anyone remember the premade family in Sims 2 (I think it was 2 brothers, and it was set up so that as soon as you start playing their house, one of them gets abducted by aliens? He came back pregnant, and I did not want an alien baby so I just facerolled a name (which wasn't much of a faceroll, I guess, since it came out as -Alala-. At first, I was about to let child services come take her. But I got weirdly attached to her, and eventually she had a family of her own.
And then my computer died, and I lost allll my families. Yes, over 10 years later I'm still upset by this memory. lol

Thank you for this review! I've been playing The Sims ever since Sims 1 15+ years ago, but I deliberately didn't start playing Sims 4 until about 3 years after release so that I could take advantage of discounted packs and patches. Call me a heathen, but I kinda really like TS4 despite its flaws.
Anyway, all of the reviews of this pack I read absolutely slammed it, so I avoided it until now. I had no idea how fun and immersive the careers were, and now I only regret not buying this sooner! Thank you for your balanced review: )

This review has made me decide to purchase the Get To Work pack your reviews usually deture me from purchasing new content that being said I enjoy every add on that I've purchased each extends the life and enjoyability of the game depending on a gamers style of play will determine whether a pack is worth buying it's expensive at the end of the day it's really about what the gamers goals are and what type of features they consider are needed for example if you enjoy having your Sims as criminals then this pack isn't for you

I was actually kinda disappointed by this expansion. there are only 3 new careers and it-s always the same! you-re doing the same stuff everyday even when you get promotions and aliens are not coming so often, my sims have never been kidnapped and i-ve met only a few of them. the bakery skills isn-t really interesting because pastries doesn-t fill up the hunger need that much. running a shop isn-t so interesting, but this is juste my opinion

The minute I heard you say -Bloaty Head-, I knew you were going to mention Theme Hospital. I've already watched that review. And played the actual game, although I got it second-hand without the manual, so I had trouble with it. This is a pretty good pack, although I have yet to explore the Scientist job. Last time anyone did science in the house, their sister Saffron wouldn't leave the room or the house and she burned alive.

Just watching sims 4 game play makes the game seem boring; the entertainment is really whomever is doing the let's play. Not one expansion has seemed worth the extra cost, to me. Not to mention stuff packs AND game packs, that have stuff in them that should just be in the expansions, like really? Can they be more transparent, that all they want is money for less-than-fulfilling games, now?

Definitely don't like the doctor career; the coworkers are completely useless.
I actually liked the detective career, it had a more hands-on approach to me.
The scientist career was just a little. weird. It wasn't my favorite, but not as bad as the doctor career.
I really, really wish they had added more to the existing careers. It was a little more of a let down than I had hoped.

I purchased the Sims 4 Get to Work and I regret it. I didn-t watch reviews before hand (yes my mistake) so I thought I would be able to work ANY job on there and go to work with them. No, only 3. And it doesn-t explain how to do things effectively. It was such a waste. Now I-m here looking at reviews of all other packs to see what other pack might actually be worthy of money.

people really dont thank each other enough for working. even if someone just does there job at the minimum, it means you get to use the service it provides which improves your life and people should thank for that more often.
So -thanks for working- isnt as weird as a saying as it may seem, it should be more common.
