OPEN LETTER TO STAINLESS GAMES STUDIO-
Dear people at Stainless Games, -
you made 2 masterpieces, Carmageddon 1 and 2. -
But because I love those 2 games I am here to tell you openly-
that I did not like Carmageddon Max Damage, and maybe if you agree with what I have to say, -
you may consider to do a mod that will change it for the better. -
There is a basic flaw in your new game: it lacks of personality, in a word: it is cold. -
There are three main changes I would like to see: -
1) The new engine is too shiny, too polished, which contrast with the athmosphere and -
brutal charming of the original game, so my suggest is to strip off the game from dynamic lights, smooth surfaces, -
lowering also the polygon counts, and texture resolution. -
2) Where is the in-face camera? that was the core of this game, it added so much personality! -
What you can do is looking around and searching for people that want to take part of this ''In-camera'' --
modification. Simple people from the street with quirky faces, quircky personality; dress them with crazy constumes-
and that's it! I'm sure you will attract so many attention with this mod that you won't believe it! -
3) Please, bring back those sound effects, those screams and squeeling that made the game so memorable. -
4) The last piece to the puzzle are the sprites! Those 3d models have no personality, no face. Bring it back --
thosememorable sprites. -
You could sell again the game with this added content, It will be a success, I guarantee! -
Love your games, I hope you fulfill those wishes. -
Take care, -
Raul

A criminally underrated game in every single aspect, I'll never lose my respect for the developers for putting in the effort they did.
Wreckfest launched on consoles recently and people are applauding in droves on how destructive racers are super uncommon these days, im just entirety convinced this one flew right under the radar and its honestly sad to know that there MIGHT be a larger audience for this game, but they either don't know it exists or the ultra-low IGN score turned them off from it. Games like this DESERVED way better than what they got, and thankfully THQ Nordic might be just as good for this franchise as it was for Wreckfest when it hit development hell.
I still play this game a lot, it's a super chill time just relaxing on the couch with a Steam Link streaming the mechanical slaughter straight to my TV screen, I'll continue to shout to the heavens above about how unfairly this game got treated by reviewers and people who had no clue what the IP was even about.

As good as this patch looks, I can't say I can really support Stainless's decisions anymore. After releasing the game in a state that legitimately everyone on their forums said should not be the final pass, they did any way. They got hurt on the sales and most of the fans and backers gave up on it because it more or less just seemed that Stainless was completely incompetent at optimization. Now they FINALLY have the game in a state that it should have released in, and they (At least in my opinion) completely screwed over their original backers by making Max Damage a timed exclusive. I really tried to believe this wasn't all a cash grab and was instead a passion for the series, but my god, their management is awful. Great vid on the content though LGR, no one really covered what was actually included here as well as you!

I remember first hearing of Reincarnation and getting really hyped until the game was finally released, specially since the last Carmageddon related thing I was excited for was the funsize (mobile) ports arriving via Android and iOS. Managed to snag copies of the promo release which was the full version before the price tag was set to $2 after the first day.
Then came Reincarnation's release and let's just say it was a bit of a mess. Thankfully, Max Damage is what the game should've been and I snagged it for $20 recently. Does well for what it offers and manages to do well on a non-gaming PC such like my Surface Pro 4.

I have noticed you have released three unusually long videos in the last two weeks, interwoven amongst your normal videos such as this. I just wanted to express my overwhelming satisfaction with your content. I love your shorter videos for the quick, concise content. I have been loving the longer videos in which you ramble & repeat yourself since they allow for emotions & more in-depth discussions. Not that my opinion matters too much, but I just wanted to ensure you knew how much your viewers enjoy your content, man

The more time that passes, the more I realise how ahead of its time -On Live, - was. The speed at which video game technology advances now is shrinking the gaming consoles lifespan to near absurdity. As more and more people get access to gigabit and beyond internet speeds, the more it makes sense, for both seller and consumer, to centralize the hardware and move to a subscription model. At least as far as the console market is concerned.

1: 14 I think that was poor spot to compare the two versions. There are plenty other stages in Max Damage where you can see far off just fine, I think that fog was intentionally added in. Still not AS pretty, but it's definitely NOT as bad as that comparison makes it out to be.
Although this review is a few years old and no one probably cares anymore, so. who the hell? Just talking to myself. Damn.

The Stainless guys are based just down the road from me. I can't say I have any interest in this game though. I loved Carmageddon 1 and 2 back in the day but this just looks tame and poor in comparison. And I can't believe they didn't include the prat cam from the original games. I mean ffs that was the best thing! I guess their budget didn't allow it.

I'm happy to see this series return! I just bought this and have been having a blast playing a modernized version of my favorite childhood racing game. This review is fair; it's not for everyone, but if you loved the first game, it's expansion and Carmeggedon 2, this will be right up your alley.

I picked this game up on the XBox One from Wal-Mart the other day for only $7. I never really had an interest in this series that would have compelled me to seek out Reincarnation or any game in the series, but at $7, I couldn't pass it up. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.
