They were all really good and I wish I watched them with someone. I do not say this bc I was scared. Those movies were so good that as soon as they ended, I wanted to analyze, dissect, and discuss them immediately.

This is such an awful list. I've watched more than half of the movies (do I mention 'alone', besides Poltergeist that I watched with a cousin) and I would say their are so many better movies out their which you really shouldn't be watching alone.
Not saying all these movies were I really liked The Woman In Black, The Ring, The Descent, but they weren't creepy enough. Don't Breathe was amazing, but if you don't go around breaking into people's houses, you should be fine watching it.
Unfriended on the other hand had a great concept, but could have been executed so much better. It hardly scares you. And the last scene destroyed the movie for me.
I honestly don't get all the hype around The Babadook and Poltergeist, weren't even good. Mama was literally just a gothic Disney movie with a hideous godmother. Unless you're 12, you should be fine watching it.
The Human Centipede is gross to watch; with or without company. I doubt having a companion would make the experience any better.
I agree with Green Room and Hard Candy though, and maybe to an extent with It Follows.
Friend Request did a much better job than Unfriended to scare the social media generation.
Movies like The Shinning, Sinister, The Others (though not scary enough, but makes you start questioning reality and everything you know to be real, 1408, IT, even The Exorcist, The Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween, are much more scarier to watch alone.
Since the title just says Movies and not Horror Movies', may I add Buried, Shutter Island, The Sixth Sense as well?
Honestly, there are much better movies out there.

funny how people say movies are scary, or gory, or make you sick or not be able to wacth it, i havent come across any movie whatsoever anywhere including dark web shit and obscure movies i have found that are scary, not one movie out there has ever made me feel afraid or scared or grossed out, ive even watched live execution videos, by isis, al queida, and randoms from around the web and not even those bothered me, its just like shooting or killing anything else that is alive, like sheep, cows, deer, moose or any other living thing, i dont know mabe i just dont have that same feeling that other people get, i dont feel remorse or pity, or sad or anything really, and no i dont want to hurt anyone, im no violent, unless it was in defence of my family or an innocent person, but what im saying is it doesnt bother me seeing it, or a real dead person, and i dont think it would bother me to take a life to protect myself or my family if i had to, its weird i have no feeling about it whatsoever, but again, i also dont have any intent or want or need to hurt anyone, i actually dispise those that look to hurt others for fun, or becuase they are trying to fill some gap that is missing, anyways good vid.

Babadook was not scary in my opinion. all of these I've seen with family/ friends and by myself as well. Not scary at all. Guess I am hard to scare
Most horror movies anymore are typical and predictable. Not saying I don't like any of them. Pretty good movies b uh t just don't scare me at all.

I think Paranormal Activity 1 is the first one that should not be seen alone because it influences your mind deeply and makes you hallucinate dark scenes in which you're asleep and all the terrifying things are happening through the lens of a recording camera in your room!

I loved mama. Its not the jumpscares that get you its the scene where shes playing with the girl and her sister appears in a different room. Also where you think your watching the girl scare the step mom but then you see mama glide into the closet

For Shock Value, Alien 1. is on my list, if you haven't seen the movie, it will make you scream.
The Exorcist, when I saw this. I couldn't even Listen to it's theme song, when it would advertise on tv.
The Shining made me jump.
