A black, female Rocketeer? Seriously? I realize it's science fiction, but why must Hollowood continuously try to rewrite history (unless it's some parallel world? It would be a better fit to cast such a character in today's world rather than the unfortunately restrictive gender and color roles of that era. Enough with the PC revisionism, already. We need to learn from past mistakes, not continually rewrite them. The younger generation is already too ignorant of what really happened even that lifetime ago. But of course, a society ignorant of its own past can be redesigned to anything, right? Even toward a neo-Stalinism, which is where we're headed.

With Edge of Tomorrow 2, I have an idea of what the plot could be. At the end of the first film it looked like Tom Cruise's character got the power to relive time. Could we see a plot were the aliens come back. But we find out they were after something in the first film and they have come back to get it. Tom Cruise; s character has to go back to the first invasion to find out what they are after and in doing so ends up being killed time and time again to find out what the aliens are after.

They completely miss what was great about the original Rocketeer (and no, it's NOT because cliff was a white dude) A heavy sprinkle of 1940s and 50s barely-disguised celebrity icons in all roles ( Betty Page, Errol Flynn, Howard Hughes and Rondo Hatton. A conceited jerk who does the right thing out of love, Nazi spies, 1940s Hollywood, the exploding aviation industry in the late 30s.
What do they tell you about this sequel? the cold War. bleahhh

Like someone is going to believe that a black woman in the late 1930s could have ended up in such a position to be a pilot that becomes a rocketeer? Gee, can you say BOMB! I can just see these morons at Disney scratching their heads to each other after the movie bombs asking I wonder why it didn't do well at the box office? Ok I know this is Hollywood and political correctness is rampant but, hold on. A female Black pilot in the cold war. Hmm NO. This does not pass the sniff test. Smells like shit, must be shit. I don't know when the first cold war female pilot actually existed buy this is more far fetched than a rocket suit that can be worn and piloted. As much as i love manga, and as much as i despise most US adaptations of these, i have to admit Edge of tomorrow is much better than its source material, All you need is Kill, on many aspects, for instance the film makes much more sense about the time loop gimmick, yet, the ending is just straightforward deus ex machina to force an happy ending, the manga ending twist is much better and emotional.

Edge of Tomorrow was an amazing film that i just happened to watch on Netflix one day, im was upset that i didnt go tot he movies to see it! The reason i didnt pay it any attention at first is because Tom Cruise is just doing any movie these days! A prequal makes a whole lot of sense because Emily Blunt said she went through the same thing Tom Cruise went through so might as well show it.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is such an underappreciated movie. I say that as someone that doesn't particularly like films starring Daniel Craig. Why not cast Rooney Mara again? She was awesome on every level, unless in the book it's an entirely different character? ( haven't read them ) And why does it have to be Portman? She's overrated big-time in my opinion.

Man, The Girl in the spiders web would be great to make, as Blomkvist isn't in it really, therefore the don't have to spend the money on Craig, but why change Rooney Mara, she was great! Portman would be rubbish, maybe Johanson would be ok. Ive heard Alicia Vikander might be in it, which would be great! Swedish actress. Pity Fincher isn't directing.
