Interesting information for sure. I still wonder to this day what really made Simpsons popular because it's really boring and overall idiotic. It's brain cancer to watch it and to listen to it. Then again there are tons of degenerates in the US also it is a mockery of the US so I can see foreigners supporting this but still it's too idiotic to just sit down and watch this crap. I can think of thousands of other things that I can spend my time on.

The dynamic between Bart and Homer, with Homer secretly being Krusty the Clown, reminds me of the dynamic between Peter Parker and Flash Thompson in the Spider-Man comics (Flash doesn't respect and teases Peter, but greatly admires Spider-Man. I wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired from that.

I was never a Simpsons fan. I didn't dislike it, but didn't like it much either. But I'm in love with Futurama.
