Netflix Movies To Watch Before It's Too Late
video description
I mean, everyone knows that half the Marvel Franchise is overrated. Because we've thrown out objective standards, we've lost the credibility of art. I mean, there is an objective standard. It's literally about producing emotions, and genuine responses, which Spider Man from Disney is like an 80s action movie. Sony's is like---truthfully---a real story, with some real genuine connections. You really have to be serious about this, because people like me, and my livelihood, are at stake when you lie about the quality of art. That's just true. This is rampant in this society, and it needs to stop.
The only thing I can think of, is that it had some terrorist dude; but even that is way cool. Like that villain is literally the hero in Disney. You realize that, don't you? Like, that's what movies are supposed to do, is show character. The Amazing Spider Man's character is heroic, strong, not to mention has a real romantic connection to Emma Stone---It's freaking Emma Stone! ---it's like you're watching two real teenagers in love, and the one can stick to walls and build compressors that shoot webs. It was legitimately the best of the entire three. The first was garbage, too. The Spider Man Disney has is atrocious. The Amazing Spider Man most people relate to.
I mean, if you don't like the attitude of what's his face---maybe he was in Twilight or something---that's just dumb. Twilight was garbage, too. Everyone knows it. The actor spoke his mind, so you did this to him with Amazing Spider Man. That's just unethical. Emma Stone's reputation is on the line, too, you know? And the fact is, people half believe this crap. They really don't; the Amazing Spider Man was a more enjoyable movie to watch because Emma is eye candy, she's lovely and a heartthrob, and so is he; and they had what looked like real love chemistry. It was a good movie. It had a relevant villain, and that's just that. It was metaphorically good on that account. It was aesthetically good. It was acted well. It had beautiful cinematography. It had good fight sequences that anyone could follow, not just someone with ADD. It had well done special effects. I mean, it OUGHT NOT win an Academy Award, but it should be ranked at least a 72% in Rotten Tomatoes.
Disney's should be about a 66%.

This isn't really related to the video but I've been trying to find the name of a movie I saw when I was a kid but have very little recollection of. I assume the movie came out between 1995-2000 but possibly even a little before that. The only thing I can remember is a newspaper article saying something about a girl falling off a cliff near a lighthouse around the end of the movie. I'm asking for help with this because I think of this movie from time to time but have no idea what it was called and I'm not very good at making detailed internet searches with little info. So now I ask the great people of youtube to assist me in my rather ridiculous endeavor

Ballad of Buster Scruggs is Netflix's paraphrasing of Mark Twain's definition of a Classic - a book which people praise and don't read.
It seems just about every critic on the planet loved Buster Scruggs, as did many in the audience, although the difference is significant (91% vs. 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. I found it entertaining in a few short spots but off-putting and downright depressing in most of the rest. Definitely not the escapism most people want in a movie, that it seemed to almost start to deliver -- then snatch out from under you right before satisfying.
All in all, it is definitely one film I personally would not put on this list.

Into the Spider Verse is a one-off movie done by Phil Lord and his partner in crime, Christopher Miller. Both Dartmouth grads, they have been writing successfully for a while now including previously Cloudy with a Chance for Meatballs and The Lego Movie. Sony needs them to succeed which is now why they have a 5 year deal to work with them on the Marvel Universe.

DO NOT bother watching Miami Vice. It is not good. It's barely entertaining. They seem to have wrote the script, with the notion that they'd be able to make it make sense in later films. bu it sucked so bad that they weren't given that chance. Bad movie. Bad bad bad.

Cloud Atlas
Cloverfield
Snowpiercer
Miami Vice
All overrated and fairly terrible except Cloud Atlas though it's not as good as people profess.
Haven't seen Jane Doe or Buster Scruggs. The rest are very good.

Not Netflix movies, but movies available on Netflix. Nevertheless, good list. Netflix has so much available (most of Netflix's own movies are crap, sorry to say) it's hard to pick out the gems.
