The Truth About Joker's Most Fascinating Scene alex897609: Just watched the joker for the second time last night and the fridge scene got me thinking a bit. so unlike the modern refrigerators you get in this day and age where youre able to unlock them from the inside, the refrigerators you got back then in the 80s wouldnt have opened from the inside - it physically wouldnt be possible. so maybe the Inside of the refrigerator that has white walls Symbolises him being trapped in this mental hospital and cant get out and everything else playing out in the film was just one big hallucination of his in his mind. Also makes the ending scene make more sense when he tells her you wouldnt get it as its all merely just one crazy hallucination.

The main message I took from JOKER was: As I have loved you, Love one another.
Imagine if Arthur had received more supporting love as he did from his fellow coworker who witnessed him murder another human being. That scene exemplified someone who had been abused beyond reproach, yet still remembered the love he received and so spared his life. As so with Sophie, he sparing her and letting her know he appreciated that small gesture of attention which he interpreted as kindness by sharing her empathetic feelings of using the hand gun to the head motion.

Dad: Oh hes crying because he lifted his mouth so hard it was in pain
Me: what? No, hes sad.
Dad: hes laughing! Hes a psychopath I see.
Me: smacks face U dont even know him yet.
Dad: Whys he in the fridge? Because he wants to cool down right?
Me: sigh (Trying to enjoy each moment without having to explain eVerYythiNGgg to my Dad)
Dad: His girlfriend is with him, I wonder who takes care of her kid.
Me: (alrdy knows hes imagining her but stays quiet anyway)

I thought of it as he just wanted warmth from a family. Like he said to Thomas Wayne in the scene before, How about a little bit of warmth dad? He then gets totally shut down and even punched by Wayne. When he climbs in the fridge he is just accepting his life is full of cold loneliness. The opposite of the warmth of a family. Depression can make some people feel lost. Definitely just a theory though.

I literally just watched the movie for the first time and I immediately said during this scene he HAD to have improvised this - so this was the first thing i looked up on YouTube - you could just tell this scene only could come from him being connected to and thinking like the character - no way a writer could've come up with this moment.

Phoenix ought to do his next talk show appearance in costume and in character as Joker, in the same way he screwed with Letterman many years ago. He definitely shouldnt tell the talk show host in advance.

I thought they were going to discuss the murder scene in the apartment. Like I was so worried he was going to kill the little dude and I couldn't get that scene out of my head for days. Still terrifying

As a non-fan of DC Universe the dance in the filthy bathroom was mesmerizing to me. I was in absolute awe and enjoyed every moment of it. that made it for me. a total fan of Phoenix and the movie.

Joaquin Phoenix plays Joker VERY WELL! I can imagine life being so terribly forced, surviving only drives your mind into madness. The dark corner of the room is your only friend.

Wood. Awesome performance as a one day famous movie director in the future I like to see these details. So I can be better at my craft.
