The issue I have is if you seen a rock movie then you seen them all. pretty much and he just wants a super rock movie vs superman with him flying and destroying stuff and being on the same level as justice league. He don t get what we love about superhero movies. He makes everything about himself and thinks we just want to see him being super rock, big muscles, beating everyone up and being invincible but that ain t it. All the characters and roles that he plays are always in service of the rock but if he made a cool, likeable character, that had more than just one liners and wrestling promo type monologues and he was in service of that character, lore, mannerisms and perspectives then maybe it would of been a good movie. maybe.

With real talent and skills you can go miles upon miles of success in life.
But if you fake to make up the real skill and talent, then someday your true self will be come up and the balloon will blast.
Same thing happened to the Dwayne Johnson. Literally he is doing acting like The Rock in every movie with the bigger biceps and triceps. But remember, movies are not watched only my kids, but matured adult.
On the other hand Brendan Fraser, Keanu Reeves, Johnny Depp are real actors with real skills and talents; they already showed thier wide range in various genres.

What movie hasn't sunk in the past two or three years? The thing is the audience's are so ungrateful. It takes so much effort, hundreds of combined hours, maybe thousands, coordination, and millions of dollars to create one 2 hour film. Just start complaining and enjoy the movies if they are not terrible then don't complain please. We are lucky that the effort is still being made to create such huge films. The trend that I see happening is that these movies will never exist again at least for a few decades or when monetary games are figured out.

You can tell how disappointed the Rock how this movie did. He's constantly saying how well it did when anyone who can do simple math knows this thing was a failure.
But I guess after hyping being part of the DCU (or whatever they're calling it now) for 5 years and acting like his character was going to be the next phase of the franchise it must be hard wondering if you're even play him again?
Movie just came off too generic. I'll judge it when I see it on HBO Max in a few days.

I honestly don't know what people want from movies these days. Everything has to be so psychoanalyzed by everyone instead of just enjoying anything. This was a good movie, but people just can't watch a movie as the movie it is. It has to be compared to everything, and tick so many boxes, and the characters have to be perfect representations, and fit each individuals wants and needs for anyone to just have fun at the theater anymore.

The rock never takes any actual risks. His entire career all he knows how to do is play to what the audience wants. As a result he had no actual ability to do anything unique or interesting. His stale performance here and the fact that all these dumbb super hero movies are the same you would think people would get tired of this trash after a while but nope

F black panther boring ass movie. F Chadwick boseman he let us down. Everything's a secret. Keep your secrets he could have stayed out of it. Everybody morning a guy from a fake country b. I'd watch Black Adam again and again one time is all it took for wakanda to know it was a flop. I'm a comic book nerd that said that.

I think the Rock should leave the comic book movies to other actors. He's more of an action-drama / comedy actor. He shouldn't join the cgi world. I would like to see him revive the role for the movie Faster. Pulling a revenge kind of character and maybe using that to be something like an Equalizer style of character.

The whole movie could ve been edited into 20-30 mins of footage in a more fleshed out story as it tries to base the movie of the justice society/black Adam story which in my opinion would ve worked if the characters and story had time to breath straight action from the first second to the last

Warner Brothers got into so much trouble during it's sale from AT&T to Discovery by falsifying their reports of financial stability. If this is true that the Rock or his team purposely leaked false reports, no way will WB Discovery put up with it.
