From a familiar maxim to minimal Maximals and the surprise reveal that will totally transform the future of the franchise let's dig into the mechanics of Rise of the Beasts' action-packed ending. Losly: WHY GI JOE AND TRANSFORMERS are so call collab. It s simple actually. Nothing do to with the continuity or like make it special or what.
Both of them are from the same Production company HASBRO given the fact that GI Joe did not sell well these years, transformers at least can take a hit. So they wanna gamble combining them may have big bucks on HASBRO

Putting the Maximals and Autobots together in the debut film of the Maximals was a poor narrative choice. The heroes pool is so saturated that Cheetor and Rhinox could have not existed and it would not impact the plot in any way.
Imagine if the MCU finally did their X-Men reboot movie but it is written in such a way that the Avengers are alongside the X-Men and while the movie is an X-Men movie, the spotlight has to be shared with Bucky, Sam Wilson, Dr Strange and other heroes. Suddenly the X-Men end up shortchanged in their own debut film. That's what this film did to the Maximals.
And guess what now the robots have to share the franchise with GI Joe as well cos thats what the Transformers story needs: more humans.

I thought that transformers was actually not bad. The characters were likeable and the graphics were spot on. Not sure why we needed very unnecessary racist 'joke' at the start of a kids film though. Bit of a sour taste in the mouth for no reason.

Alot of people say it's a bad idea for making all the Hasbro owned medias making it like mcu but I think G. I JOE could work as the act like the S. H. I. E. L. D in MCU to cover up the transformers

I didn't really understand where that mountain suddenly came from, why it turned into a huge tower, and why it created endless waves of pointless drones to appear?

The last transformers movie was hinting that unicron was the earth itself. This movie threw away all the lore developed in the Michael Bay films.

Rise of the Beasts and Bumblebee take place in an alternate reality to the Bay films. Thats why the continuity is different in those films.

I never thought Optimus freaking prime could sound corny but I felt it for the first time in this movie. He talked too much lol
