I think everyone forgets or doesnt know that degrassi was originally on in the 80s/ early 90s. Spike, snake, and joey(Craigs adopted father) were the cast of that show as teenagers hence why they called this series degrassi the next generation. In fact one episode was about teenager pregnancy and spike got pregnant with Emma in that episode. So degrassi has been around a lot longer than most think.

I always thought that too RajaReign78! They shouldve gotten the original Emma and I wish they wouldve had more of the originals in the next generation! I am glad that they kept it the same when it came to Emmas father and how he was still messed up in the head from where he had taken acid n had his accident. Great now I wanna watch the old episodes lol!

I recognized Devon from Degrassi when I saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid years ago. I was like damn he must be old playing a teenage brother back in 2011 because I was 12 when those 2007/2008 episodes aired. But no he was just really young on Degrassi.

A lot of the celebs that appeared on the show came later on when the producers got desperate and kept trying to emulate American teen shows. It drained a lot of the verisimilitude the show had built up in its earlier seasons.

Devon Bostick was a cute teen. God, I would have killed to have her looks when I was a teen(though I'm very pretty now. He had a clear complexion(I had acne until I was 18) and nice pink lips.

I only watched cuz I saw Shay! Can't believe I didn't realize she was on Degrassi! Degrassi was like one of my fave shows when I was younger!
