It's curious that the queen of break up songs, Taylor Swift, doesn't appear even as an honorable memtion. Don't get me wrong, I don't like her music, it's just a thought that came to my mind. On the other hand, P! nk's So What is the song that I listen to when I want to have more energy, and Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) is my anthem. Such and empowering song

For me it'd be:
Stronger (by Britney Spears)
Fighter (By Christina Aguilera)
That's What I Call Crazy (By Lucy Hale)
Be Our Gust (Beauty & The Beast) (Empowers you that you're not alone here)
Another Good Day (By Raleigh Keegan)
So Yesterday ( By Hilary Duff)
Goodbye Gone (By Lucy Hale)
Let It Go (By Frozen Cast)

I love Kelly Clarksons songs. Since You Been Gone and Stronger are great songs to say so long and good riddance to although personally I also find comfort in Already Gone in these situations. It really helped me make peace with ending a toxic friendship. It may not be empowering but it does help with the acceptance part of the grief.

My honorable mention is Moving On Up by M People
This song talks about how a man wronged their lover (possibly M People) and she how immediately moved on and left the man. With the lyrics Moving on up, you're moving on out. and Time to break free, nothing can stop me! It's very empowering for heartbroken women.

Good count but you ignored Janet Jackson's discography that has stood out for inspiring female empowerment in her fans and other artists, she definitely should have been on the list with at least 1 song

Ariana Grandes Thank U Next I surely thought would be a part of the list. It was on the radio for months following its release. Im not a huge huge fan, but its one of my favorite songs.

Yes, I Will Survive may be the best breakup song ever, but in my opinion, it's Lose You to Love Me. Its lyrics are empowering. That's all I can say about it. :)

I have never broken up with a lover. I had breakups with guys I dated but never was in love. I fell in love and I'm still with my Bunny 17 years later.

I'm surprised Fighter isn't on here, because that's one of the first songs to pop into my mind when I think of empowering breakup anthems

Objectively best it has to be Gloria Gaynor's I will survive.
As a personal preference, Christina Aguilera's Fighter is my top.

I started this think If 'I Will Survive' isn't #1, I am going to be seriously annoyed. Luckily the folks at Ms Mojo know what's up.

Im doing fine now. Don't remember the group who performed it. But it was definitely the soundtrack of my life after divorce.

This list is just an excuse to feature Flowers. Like, really? A 2-3 month old song, considered as ALL-TIME? Gimme a break

Survivor by Destiny's Child in 2001 and I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor in 1978 both had to go that hard.
