If the black cauldron didnt work before how is it going to work now the books are too scary for kids ages 0 to 13 Disney is going to loose their company if they try this because they almost lost their company doing the black cauldron and the movie lost to the Care Bears movie I dont think fans of the black cauldron understand that the movie cost billions to make and barely made a dime also they got kicked out of their building and started working in a wrecked building in Glendale until Aladdin came out and lion king approaching when they announced they would be reconstructing the old building those are my worries about making another film to the black cauldron i dont hate the film its not my most favorite Disney film Im just concerned for the company a company I love very much and PLEASE Disney make a animated film on pride and prejudice please!

No, no, no. A millions times no! Disney! We gave you a pass with those cash-grabs live action adaptations of your classics but now it seems to have lost your minds and also to have been blinded with arrogance. Leave Oliver the Musical alone! It was a masterpiece of it's time and it holds off better than most of the CGI that they are used in modern movies! You are not gonna suceed of bringing the charm and the epicness the original had! Oh and speaking of Oliver Twist I have to ask this: why the hell do we have so many adaptations? Don't get me wrong I love the story but we have so many works from classic literature to choose to be adapted for a movie like 1984 or Hunchback of Notre Dame!

But they are finally RUINING Artemis. And all we have are cast lists, I shudder to think of what the script looks like. Not only are they ignoring obvious descriptions of the characters (which is something I can live with, but other fans disagree) they did the unthinkable and cast a women to play a male character. Which also could be argued has happened before to help with diversity in a story, but this story did not need anymore strong female characters AND it Completely changes the dynamics, personality and backstory of one of the main characters. It can also be said this character in question was a main one as well.

The only book to film adaptation Disney did that I ever cared for was the avengers franchise (yes I know comics are different from novels, but Im choosing to include them, most everything else, well Theres a reason they coined the term Disneyized. That being said, if theyre going to go through with something wicked this Way comes, might I suggest Chris Noth as the Dad.

i would like to see artemis fowl adapted to a movie or tv series but the problems that made me hesitate several times if i really wanted to see it adapted is that it is a good action thriller with some comedy for teens but some of that comedy is childish even for teens and i end up cringe just by thinking of the possibility of some of that end up at the big screen

Here's another novel Disney should make as a film: Around The World In 80 Days. This time as an animated film. I'll hate myself for saying this but 20, 000 Leagues Under The Sea is overrated. I truly still love it though and an origin film of Captain Nemo does sound very interesting to watch.

Sorry Ms. Mojo but concerning the Miss Marple series entry, why did you only mention Margaret Rutherford and Angela Lansbury, it really pees me off that you choose the two worst adaptations of Miss Marple, why not Joan Hickson, Geraldine McEwan or Julia McKenzie. And breathe.

I grew up reading Artemis Fowl. and having my hopes up and down every time there was a rumour about the movie. Im worried now that is gonna be real because Ive seen they changed a lot of important things so Im sort of happy but I feel like Disney is gonna fail us hahaha

The only way Im down for Oliver Twist the musical is a Hamilton style rap musical. The original musical is already a movie (they showed a clip. Also like they said we have Oliver & Co from Disney as well as August Rush as they best live action version possible.

Omg, Artemis is FINALLY being made. i was getting worried that it would not get made.
Still, i wish the rest of The Golden Compass would be made. i mean all three books tell one story, so just doesn't make sense they would leave it open like that

I really wish to see Alexa's epic adventures upon the big screen, and not two freaking decades or even one decade from this year, I want the Land of Elyon books to be adapted earlier, I wish I was the director-producer or screenwriter of them.

I am so looking forward to a live action reboot of The Chronicles of Prydain. Also is it possible if they could do any of Rick Riordan's works like a Percy Jackson reboot or Heroes of Olympus, Kane Chronicles or Magnus Chase?

Can't wait for Artemis Fowl. I started reading the series about six or seven years ago and always thought it would look awesome as a movie! August 2019 can't come soon enough!

Let me tell you, The Artemis Fowl movie is nothing like the book. Artemis is simply an annoying brat throughout the entire film and hes so unlikable, that in turn you cant like the movie

As long as they don't do as badly as they did adopting the Percy Jackson books, I'll be fine. Still hoping they'll make a Netflix series based off the books though

Jennifer Gardner as miss Marple! Ridiculous! There are a lot of older actors who would be so good for that role, I would rather see the work go to one of them.

Any book worm worth their salt knows most of these are going to be awful. The movies always mess up the book. Does anyone remember Percy Jackson?

I once saw an upgraded version of Swiss Family Robinson in which the boys sang about the things they missed back home--including McDonald's!

I love the amount of POC's in these upcoming movies. :
Come on, modern re-telling with a Brooklyn family and they cast Steve Carrell?

Too bad you missed the Lost Year of Merlin, written by TA Barron. There is even a script in the works, written by Philippa Boyens.

There was a book called The Hero From Otherwhere, which was to have become a Disney movie, but the project was scrapped.

I trust disney with most of their films but not with Oliver! It's one musical film which should be kept alone.

Shouldn't it be upcoming Disney movies that are based on books because of how they change the source material.
