The other day my mom wanted to watch a movie and we found something in Spanish that we both wanted to watch, she because it was a romcom, me because it had this gorgeous Mexican actor I just rediscovered. Turns out it was the Mexican remake of 50 First Dates. What's even funnier is that my mom has watched the original with me, but because her memory can be a bit fuzzy at times due to a series of seizures she had some years ago, she didn't remember. We call her Dory (Finding Nemo) because of this, but now she says she's also Lucy lol

I have no shame or guilt over any of these movies, but the worst ones are Love don't cost a thing, Leap Year, Only you, and Beauty and the Beast should not have been mentioned at all. Those movies are boring as hell. I can deal with cheesy, campy, and deplorable with some laughs but they weren't even funny movies.

The master of boy pays girl to play his girlfriend to make him popular and then they fall in love, Can't Buy Me Love, 1987. It stars a young McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey. There are probably movies just like it from years before that.
I have so many favorite RomComs. One of them is Sandra Bullock's While You Were Sleeping.

I also saw New Year's Eve in theaters. and Valentine's Day. Both are much better than Love Actually which is just boring and confusing. I love these kinds of movies on a girls night or lazy sunday - not ashamed AT ALL
