The number 1701 is the registry number for ALL versions of the Starship Enterprise in ALL versions of Star Trek. The original Enterprise was 1701. The next was 1701-A (first seen in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, then 1701-B (First seen in Star Trek Generations, 1701-C (seen and destroyed in an episode of Star Trek the Next Generation, 1701-D (which was the Enterprise Wil Wheaton was on) to 1701-E (first seen in one of the Next Generation movies after 1701-D was destroyed.

How about the fact that the building is structurally wrong. Penny's door is right next to the stairs. Yet when they show the lobby of the apartment, the main entrance is right next to the stairs right where Penny's door would be. Therefore, Penny's apartment extends out over the entrance of the building. But the entrance exits immediately to the street. So Penny's apartment extends into the air-space above a street?

The Military Room seems similar to all the science rooms like Howards engineer. But I guess if at a supposed University it would be all the same.
Also the Hallway to Amys apartment seems like its been reused throughout the seasons for different apartment places.

What's so odd about the changes in Penny's bathroom being redecorated? It just makes the character more real. Likewise Raj's apartment.
In the UK, IKEA sometimes does ranges of furniture, that can be customised.
