I think the point with Miranda was that she had lost herself. The drinking, the cheating, letting her son disrespect her home. these were things Miranda was never about before but at some point over time she lost sight of who she was. Symbolically that's why her hair was grey all up until she was about to leave for California. Going back to red hair as if to say she's getting back to the firey woman she was. If they get it right, she'll leave Che (Che is just a thrill for her, I don't like her & Che together) From a character balance, point of view if Samantha were in the show, I don't think they would have written this for Miranda. I believe they had to shift a more salacious actions to MIranda since normally Samantha was the one to more likely take risks or do shocking things. Miranda is still my favorite because she's the most realistic out of all the characters. She represents that negative parts of settling down that we resent and can even regret over time. Its a very uncomfortable topic but I actually like that they went there.

100% they made Miranda and Steve so lame. Miranda was a Karen at moments and why did they give her a drinking problem? It was so bad. Honestly if it was just Carrie with cameos from Charlotte and Miranda it would have been a way better show. The other two were just unnecessary. Che wasn't funny at all nor was the podcast. They really should have worked on the writing. I only liked Carrie's parts and enjoyed watching her return to herself. Miranda's entire story was handled so poorly. Charlotte was just boring and unnecessary. They had so many problems, they really should have delayed the show and did rewrites/reshoots. I seriously hate watched the entire season. Carrie was the saving grace.

The one thing I assumed from Carries apartment was that she may have bought the place next door after all. I remember Aiden bought the place next door and was planning to combine the two. With the money Carrie now has, and her clear obsession with keeping her apartment, added to the fact she is now financially stable, would it be any surprise she bought the place next door after all? And whats the big deal about Carrie having the same baguette where she was robbed? She loves that bag, and shes financially stable enough to track down the exact same version of that baguette. And also, what are they supposed to say about Samantha? She died too?

I don't get why people are confused she would have another Fendi baguette. I mean. she's now a woman of wealth- would it be so hard to strain the imagination that she would have the means to replace it? Also, here's a plot hole- at the end of the series, the Steve factor is the hole- her son and girlfriend are going backpacking and Miranda left him. So he's alone. what is going to happen to him? He won't take off the ring, he has hearing issues, and now, he's all alone in that house they bought. That's a plot hole I hope they explore when they bring the series back.

I don't have a problem with Miranda being bi now, or Charlotte's kid being transgender or non-binary, or Che being non-binary. It's just that it went from being a popular and somewhat sophisticated comedy to on-the-nose woke propaganda. If the wokeness was written in a way that was more organic to the story, I'd be okay with it. But the writing is awful. It seems like they put things in just to cross things off of a checklist. It feels like they think the audience is too dumb to notice. My friends and I watch it just to compare notes while we make fun of it.

i binged watch satc and ajlt. the first couple of episodes from s1 was cringey but youll learn to love the new characters for who they are. the gap in between the 2 series needs a lot of explaining on how they evolved. s2 was much better than s1 and hopefully s3 they can come full circle and close in some more loose ends. also i miss carrie's narration. that was the charm of satc to set the stage of the episode

Serious plot hole for Miranda also is the fact that she pretended to by in a relationship with a woman in the first season to try and get a promotion. After she comes clean, she attempts to make out with the woman in the elevator and both decide that she is straight. So then, why would she not only cheat on Steve but do it with a woman in the revival? And she called out Samantha for her relationship.

After watching the entire series, I hated this show. It portrayed 50 year old as menopausal and confusing times for women. I agree with all the plot inconsistencies and all the cringe worthy moments of the show. It is the worst show ever and if there is a second season, I am so not going to watch it. I will be running away from it. I will block and delete this show.

The Fendi is the easiest question of all. Like it would be difficult for an ultra rich couple like the Preston's to simply buy a replacement for her. Duh, shop online much? Specialty websites that bring precious items to privileged clients abound. Also auction houses are more than willing to notify the wealthy when an especially desired item will be on the block.

Mirandas parenting is the biggest inconsistency for me. A kind, intelligent, thoughtful woman does not just let her teenager run amok and accept whatever happens like the chaos that is portrayed in the show. I believe she would have boundaries in her parenting that just arent there in the show. It felt difficult to reconcile with all we know about her.

This version of SATC is unfortunately trash its all about political correctness and being woke to please everyone else the show was never about that or involved that junk tv shows need to keep that stuff out tv is fantasy land, not a sickeningly politicized event. They couldnt even keep true to the characters all because of woke bs

I don't understand why they had to add animosity to the Samantha plot. She got a great offer in London and moved, or she's working around the world. They could have kept the communication in text and pics from all around. Still better than turning her into a vengeful person after a decade of die-hard friendship.

Besides Samantha, Miranda was the only person in a interracial relationship and then she goes back to school and shes shocked the professor was black and has braids idk that was super weird to me. Her character is from Philly, lives in Brooklyn and she dated a black doctor for the Knicks in season 5 or 6.

Wasnt Carries apartment expanded by connecting it to the one beside it by Aiden? He had broken through the common wall before they split. Its possible Carrie bought the adjoining unit and finished that remodel/expansion. Thats not what Id consider a plot hole at all.

Please as much as I loved the original, let this end and let me have my own version of where and who they are now not the obscenely wealthy, completely clueless - everyone is assigned a person of color friend - ghost of who we love and remember. Please make it stop.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Charlotte adopt Lily in season 6 of the original series? It aired in 2004. Wouldn't that make Lily a 20/21-year-old woman by now? And Rose/ Rock was born in the first movie and would be 16. But they are much younger in AJLT.

The entire AJLT was a canon of death and full twisted warp of inconsistency. The show was a total hatewatch full of forced wokeness obnoxious new characters and ludicrous plot lines that went absolutely nowhere. Let us pray there is no season 2.

One thing that has bothered me is that, in OGSATC, Carries apartment was made with an entrance to the bathroom from her bedroom and the front door. So, how did she end up seeing Miranda and Che in the kitchen while she was in bed?

I re-watched the entire series before this reboot and found both Carrie and Miranda really selfish & dishonest! Really did not like them! As for the reboot it was a HUGE SNOOZE!
Bad script & storylines and HORRIBLE fashions!

All I have to comment is that even in reality people is allowed to change due to their experiences in life and yet this is only a TV show. Stop all the hate people! You don't have to watch it if you don't like it!

More her her than an ATM. Samantha intially offered her PR services for free and also offered to loan Carrie money when she almost lost her apartment.
That a BS way to explain her absence.

What they did to Steve Brady is the worse offense, Miranda is outside ready to run off with her Binary and she & her son are only concerned with her new hair color, truly reprehensible.

RE: The Fendi Bag - Big could've tracked down one for her - it seems like something he would do. Yeah AJLT is not the same as SATC, but who is the same as they were 20 years ago?

The whole thing was just completely off brand from the masterpiece that was the original series in the 90s! One of the most dissappointing things to ever tarnish television!

I think its normal that people change over time. Some for the better, wiser as they age. Some for the worse. It seems these characters have changed for the worse

So you don't think fourteen years and a deeply loving marriage can change a person's mind? That shows a pretty shallow understanding of human nature.

Charlotte giving Harry head is not a plot hole; people change! I used to despise the act, but I'm very happy to go for it with my husband when he asks.
