Believe me when I tell you. The board members or someone in power was responsible for the Tharanos downfall. They came in to shut it down because it threatened the other companies they were invested in. So much money is made in the medical industry that they were not going to let Tharanos take that away. Her product worked, I was contracted for engineering very early on. My team and I constructed 3 prototypes. The head of engineering at Theranos did not seem in a hurry to quality check the devices upon delivery, we would hear back from them months on end and they would report that the device did not work, despite our numerous trials with successful results. Someone on the inside was sabotaging everything because we would still receive payment in full despite our failed product. They would also report that device was damaged during shipping. However, our last prototype, I delivered personally and my request was denied to demonstrate it for their engineering team. Poor woman was played so well. They tried to shut her down from the very beginning by telling her that her idea was impossible, but because she was so determined, they knew eventually Tharanos would become successful. So the investors helped create the company, they put her at the face of the company and purposely made her look like a fraud so no other company would trust her. The money and the idea of success made her go crazy. It's like living the dream and then watching it slowly get taken away. Most people will do anything to keep it. She fell into temptation. But she was not crazy. Her design worked. I almost went crazy thinking that our team was doing something wrong, but we eventually caught on when we received another request from another company to design a very similar product to the Edison. The SAME person at Theranos, requesting the Edison Clone, was also the head of engineering at the other medical company. The company (remain anonymous) already has multiple devices across multiple labs and hospitals around the world, 1 single Edison could replace three of them. It makes no sense for them to kill of three working products that are currently in mass production, making billions. It's amazing how the whole world is convinced Elizabeth Holmes is a fraud. Her design is so advanced. It utilized, chemistry, photographic technology and artificial intelligence to analyze blood samples with 93% average accuracy.

I'm know feminist, but I can see so much double standard with the Elizabeth Holmes Story. Sometimes i wonder in my mind thinking is this a control or implement fear tactic stop someone from changing something the masses cannot let you change or is this REALLY A CRIMINAL SITUATION. Are the ones being exploited in media as a criminal really the criminals here. I'm not so convinced. America has become a strange place. I do need to watch the actually story instead of all the news snippets, but I feel like I know what this is.

Maybe she was a bit overly optimistic and truly believed her machine could work, in theory time travel is also possible but when you set out to do it it's not so simple. When she started the company she was too young, at 19 you can believe in fairy tales but later she caught on but still kept going in deeper and deeper because she did not want to admit to people and lose the fame and fortune and credibility she had received, even if it put millions of lives at risk.
People would think of her as a joke and no one would want to o vest with her ever again is probably what she thought, so she kept buying more time hoping her scientists and engineers will catch up and she wouldn't have to give up all her credibility, money and fame. Until she couldn't anymore.

She looks very strange in the interviews - face, voice, demeanor. It would be interesting to know after her 11 years in jail, if she understands what she did wrong (maybe after watching the movies and reading the books and people explaining to her many times that it was not cool.

Just finished watching the series and it gave me the creeps to see how cold she was. To give people inaccurate results just for the heck of it, just to be right, just to be the next Steve Jobs? When Ian killed himself over guilt was way too much for me. But the worst part of is to know that nothing bad will truly happen to her or Sunny. They've wasted billions of dollars that will never be returned, messed with people's lives that are never going to recover, doomed people's careers, had people get killed, and for what? Status, magazine covers, a name on a gold sign or whatever.

Anybody can have great futurist idea, but don't have technology to make it word. First show how it could work, then prove it work, with that in mind get money from investor. I don't see investor dropping money in something that is not prove that work. Imagine a machine that can see through human body and Dr can give diagnostic any time, based what he see. Probably didn't start out crooked. but got corrupted with success and unchecked strong drive to regain her family fortune. She went all in, was fully committed and kept going even when she knew it was on the wrong side of the tracks. What really shocked me is that thr market is transparent and fair- how did she and her company mislead for so long and that too so significantly when there was so much scrutiny from day 1 on this company by so many very smart and influential people worldwide.

Bill gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg's early inventions never put other people's health and lives at risk. you can't just rush that kind of education and training. nobody should just drop out of college when you're inventions involves a person's health. that is way to risky. if doctor's can lose their license and face jail time for unprofessional malpractice, then she deserves more time than any other highly trained physician.

She has a wonderful idea. The problem for her is that instead of focusing on making the technology idea possible to exist, she chose to market a flawed product and getting extra funding that don't go anywhere. This was not software breakthrough, that's why Mark Zuckerberg, Steve jobs and the others can drop out of school. This is medical tech, it cannot be done by anyone without a medical background.

This cannot be overstated when trying to figure out how she duped all those senior investors. The actress persona would NEVER have been able to pull off what EH did. NEVER.
