Despite the distinction he made between different forms of assault, anyone with this kind of attitude towards domestic violence is clearly a threat and the woman has every right to pick up a gun and shoot a bullet through his brain in defense. Men can slap women. Women can shoot back. Seems fair. That's probably what would happen if he tried it today.
