Loved Beetlejuice! That was my favorite movie and cartoon. I was 4 when the cartoon came out. I learned so much from Alyson Court/Lydia back then. Got me threw some tough times. Yes Lydia Moon comes from Lydia Deetz. Moon well Sailor Moon, my two favorite shows. Did you know Tara Strong, voiced Claire Brewster, Bertha, and little miss warden? Stephen the voice of Beej went on to do, other projects as the beast in Maggie and the Ferocious Beast.
Yeah I was to old for Maggie but I missed hearing Stephen and the others act. I would watch stuff like little bear and Franklin, max and Ruby. Because I missed hearing my favorite Canadian voice actors. Yeah I'm weird so what!

I knew about the Napoleon Dynamite cartoon series and The Mask cartoon series and I actually saw the Beetlejuice cartoon series before seeing or even knowing about the movie and I also knew about the Ace Ventura cartoon series as well and I also knew about The American Tails tv series as well and I also knew about The Little Mermaid tv series and the Aladdin tv series and there were a few Lion King tv spinoff series as well such as Timon And Pumba and The Lion Guard and I remember the Police Academy cartoon series and the Ghostbusters cartoon toon series

Man the nostalgia. The Mask and Beetlejuice were my top favorite animated TV shows ever! I loved the music they had on Beetlejuice cartoon. Always wished there was a soundtrack for it like they had for Inspector Gadget and Sailor Moon. And I wish I could relive the Mask series but it's no where on streaming services nor does it have a complete series DVD.
I had hoped for a Beetlejuice reboot but in today's times they'll just ruin it.

They should have included the Little Shop of Horrors animated series. Actually titled ''Little Shop'', it is a prequel loosely based on the original movie musical and includes most of the original characters (except for Orin, Ronnette, Chiffon, and Crystal) as kid versions of themselves (except Mr. Mushnik and other new adult characters. It has 13 episodes and only ran for one season in 1991 before getting canceled.

Karate Kid and Jumanji; I either didn't know or forgot they had animated versions. Dumb and Dumber; didn't know that had one either. Friday, didn't even know the source material let alone the animated series. I've known all the others on this list, but Beetlejuice is the only one I've seen every single episode, though there are a few I never saw at all.

I thought The Mummy animated series might get mentioned (based on The Mummy with Brendan Fraser. This could've easily been A Top 20 list with so many others included (All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, The Legend of Tarzan, Jungle Cubs, and probably more.

You forgot to mention Spaceballs The Animated Series, The Neverending Story The Animated Adventure, All Dogs Go To Heaven The Series, Robocop The Animated Series, Men In Black The Animated Series, Kong The Animated Series, Return To The Planet of the Apes, Evolution The Animated Series.
reply

Friendly reminder that it was Rob Paulsen who stood in the shoes (or rather The Mask) of Jim Carrey for the Animated Series of The Mask.
And he kept his zany antics 10x more faithful to the project than Jamie Whatshisface could in Son of The Mask.
Just sayin'.

You left out The Smurfs 2021 (The Smurfs and the Lost Village) since the show took place after the events of the movie and the entire cast from the movie (likely excluding Azrael) where recast with unrecognizable voice actors, which was a bad move in my opinion.

Man I'm getting old. I haven't seen almost all these cartoons in years. I'm not sure if most of them hold up well. I have to watch them to see if there good. Anyways, this is a huge nostalgia overload. Good times.
reply

If one of the voices of one of the Real Ghostbusters sounds familiar to you its because its the voice of Lorenzo Music who also voiced Garfield in the hit classic cartoon series Garfield And Friends
reply

Pretty surprised Tangled The Series wasnt on here. A lot of people dont know that it exists, and the people that do but havent actually watched it dont know it has an actual story and plot line
reply

first of all: every ghostbusters fan knew it had a tv spinoff
secondly: attack of the killer tomatoes should have been on this list
yes THAT movie got a tv spinoff look it up

I remember quite a few of these, even though some of them were just before my time. The reruns were the only way I knew about them, but they were none the less still fun to watch.

Obviously The Real Ghostbusters is number one on this list. Egon Spengler was, and always will be my favorite character in the series as well as my father's.
reply

What about Aladdin the series that took place after the second movie, or All Dogs go to Heaven the series that made some changes after the second film.
reply

I remember
Godzilla
Jumanji
Bill and Ted
Beetlejuice
The Mask
Back to the future
The little mermaid
The real Ghostbusters

reply

I own the Back to the Future show. Shame it didn't continue after 2 seasons. Also I enjoyed the Beatlejuice cartoon much more than the film.
reply

I knew about all the ones on the main list except the Mask, Karate Kid and Napoleon Dynamite. The only honorable mention one I knew was Fieval!
reply

With that many honorable mention entries, this could have easily been a top 20 instead of a top 10.
Waitthere was a Friday animated series?

reply

Most of them were broadcast in Poland in 1990s/later (except for
Karate, Napoleon, Bill, Ace, Friday, Clerks and Extreme, at least afaik.

reply

Just wondering if there are any more others like these, if so can you find them, eventual part 2 please, no pressure was was just wondering.

I've always loved Napoleon dynamite movie and always loved the series. Too bad that they never made another season. It was getting so good

I remember watching The Real Ghost Busters, Back to the Future, Beetlejuice and Jumanji. I think I watched Teen Wolf but I'm not sure.

reply

I remember in the late 1970s, Hanna-Barbera did an animated Godzilla series, with his nephew, Godzookie, who provided comedy relief.
