If Walt was like the current head of Disney, we would not have Disney or Disney world. The current head did not put enough money into Hocus Pocus 2 which ruined it. What so you expect from a man who runs a sweat shop and refuses to pay his cast members enough money to even get their own flat or one room apartment. They have to have at least 3 or more to a house and this was even before the current recession. Igor also did not pay a living wage to cast members. Now the Governor of Florida is going to make many of them homeless because he took away Disneys Ready Creek which will raise the cast members taxes by 25 percent this year. I guess the governor needs the money to fly migrants from other states to the north to show how nice northerners are to strangers. Sorry for getting off topic

I had a different interpretation of the sisters' costumes:
1] Winnie's dress is the most elaborately-decorated, signifying her status as the oldest/leader of their group.
2] Mary's dress looks more like something a servant would wear, which is the main function of her relationship with Winnie.
3] The symbolism in Sarah's dress lies in its main color. That particular shade of pink evokes a teenager's first blush of love, which she seems to ALWAYS be in. (9/29/2022)

Fun fact: Hocus Pocus and Free Willy literally came out on the day I was born! July 16th, 1993! :)
I didn't grow up with either films though I did see parts of Hocus Pocus when I was a kid yet saw it for the first time in my 20's and I used to watch Free Willy all of the time when I was a little kid but I love sharing that fact with people! XD

Behind the seen secrets. I use to be a part-time park-ranger for a Washington state park on an island off the coast of Washington. That mansion (or 1 of them) was built around the park rangers home so to speak. The cast and crew spent quit a bit of time out there. It's always been one of my favorite Halloween movies!

No way could it have been half as good without I Put a Spell on You! Just saw HP2, and while overall I enjoyed it and the ties back to the original, I wasn't as impressed by it as I thought I'd be. I wish they had written all new original music instead of using known pop songs.

I honestly think that Omri was the best pick for Max, as he hit all the right marks especially with the binx talks scene as he had a perfect 'did this cat just talk! This cat is talking' shocked reaction that clearly showed Max was moments away from having a total freakout.

I thought I'd mention the composer James Horner of the Come little children song that SJP sang also composed My heart will go in from Titanic that ironically had Leo in. Sadly, he didn't get to hear the song in Hocus Pocus 2 since he passed away in a plane crash in 2015.

The cemetery that Max gets his shoes stolen is called Marblehead Cemetery in Marblehead, Massachusetts about 10 minutes south of Salem. It is the most beautiful cemetery. It over looks the town and has little gazebo you can sit at. I highly recommend checking it out.

Ironically, they dubbed the voice of Binx to be more historically accurate, but that stereotypical Brit accent didnt exist yet. The general accent of Americans today is closer to the colonial accents than the general Brit accent of today.

Tbh, you really did need I Put a Spell on You to make the story work. Mostly cause it acts as a way to dispose of the adults that could've stopped the children from being lured to their house.
