I think Paulina (and anyone who thinks she needs surgical alteration) needs to update their eye exam: she was stunning as a supermodel and she has not changed one single bit. Sure she's aged but she still looks stunning. Western society places insane standards on each other and it boggles my mind how brainwashed and oblivious we are to that. Also: Gabrielle Union told to dress her age? I thought she was in her THIRTIES. Whoever made that comment clearly is jealous. She looks amazing no matter what her age is. So do ALL women. Stop glamourizing older men (ex. Jack Nicholson? You've GOT to be kidding me) and let everyone age in their own beautiful way.

Anyone who insults women for aging is a groomer for teen girls, or they wouldn't be so vicious. Look up anything on grooming, and you will see the pattern. Men who groom teens absolutely HATE older women because they are too smart! They don't fawn and believe everything they hear anymore, so they are useless to these men, who want them gone before they warn others. The fact that they are so hateful shows how insecure and desperate they are. All actresses and models have been thru this, because the men flock to where young girls are away from family and friends (hollywood, so they are vulnerable.

I work with women every day of my life, of all ages. It's sad that every time I give one a compliment. usually those that are over 60. THEY, not me, will almost ALWAYS add for my age to MY compliment. I find this sad and a statement of where society has put us and the female population over the years, mostly through the media, and especially due to hollywood depictions. It's got to stop. The self-esteem loss is unimaginable.

Maybe, instead of saying to older women, you look good or great or fantastic, we should be saying you ARE good or great or fantastic. Saying that you look still seems to put that emphasis on a woman's physical beauty over thier actual value as a vibrant & intelligent being, bringing it back to that shallowness of looks over personality & the true value of a mature woman & all the wonderful things she has to offer.

When I was young, it was the OLDER ADULTS that was putting me down, saying You don't know anything. When I was YOUR age. . You have NO experience in life. Now that I am OVER 50, I find THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE happened. People are judging me as an older woman.
I think people should just let people LIVE THEIR OWN LIVES. LIVE AND LET LIVE.
Life is TOO short.
Live LIFE to the FULLEST!

I think Melanie Griffith (and others) have fallen into a trap where they think they need severe plastic surgury. I think she and others look terrible. They don''t get roles any more? I wouldn't hire someone who looks like them. So many of these stars are not in pictures anymore. The plastic surgery ruined all of those bright futures. And yes I'm looking at you Priscilla Presley.

Good on these ladies! All beautiful then and more beautiful now and all talented in their craft, and ohhh lol I'm so going to be Helen Merrin, I'm going to be 40 this year and I still have long hair and wear a ponytail at times

Man, Im only 24, but I already feel the effects of ageism. I know way too many people close to me who hate getting older, so thats probably why I feel like that. I actually like women older than me, I dont like any teenaged girls.

I Hate TO say it but there is something off about JOE BIDEN. He Should take a cognitive test. And I have a right to ask this question because he is the President Of The USA. And I Worry For Him It's not just gaffes anymore or ageism.

Wow! Hollywood is so difficult to get in to, and for women: dealing with the Harvey Weinstiens just to get a job, and then the ageism. I don't know why any woman (or girl) would want to do it. These are some very tough women.

CLAP along if you feel like a room without a roof.
CLAP along if you feel like happiness is the truth.
CLAP along if you know what happiness is to you.
CLAP along if you feel like that's what you wanna do!

Notice how each one was WOMEN? Can we stop judging women on age and whether some dude's crusty d wants to get in her? I'm tired of seeing 50 year old men paired with girls that are 25. It's legal, but disgusting.

Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith are both in their late 80's and still two of the finest actresses out there and Dame Helen Mirren is a young 77 years old. I am 75. 3 cheers for us old folks!

Definition of a clap back to be something said DIRECTLY to the person tossing the insult. These are not clap backs. these are simply responses. valid ones, for sure, but. NOT clap backs.

Helen Mirren impressed me when she did the Red franchises, and even more when she grew her hair. Not very many people impress me like that. Oh yeah! My hair is almost down to my butt.

I'm with Jennifer Aniston, You look good for your age feels like such a backhanded compliment. Age shouldn't have anything to do with it. It really is just a number.
reply

Now that I've experienced ageism, I don't regard it as a bad thing. It's been a transition to something more exciting and maybe edgier.

As someone atracted to women I am utterly BAFFLED at how Hollywood can find these women as anything but stunning.
