The worst rom-com couples with little chemistry was Amira and Ezra from You People because it was hard for me to root for them since I didn't feel a spark from them. Maybe it's because of Kenya Barris writing which at this point is very repetitive and similar to his show, Blackish. The romance would have been better had they hired a competent writer who knows a thing or two about writing a good romantic comedy involving interracial couples.

There's also a difference between having bad chemistry and characters being who they are. Most of these have bad chemistry, but a few of them had more to do with the awkwardness of the characters on one or both sides. In some of them, the bad chemistry was the point, so the list is odd with those despite being truthful.

I agree with all of these except Fools Rush In. I love that movie and it is definitely an underrated classic rom com. Ive watched it multiple times and I think they are adorable together. The whole point of the movie is the fact that they a complete opposite unlikely pair and the whole culture clashing of their families.

Not in the list but in This means war, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine have 10x more chemistry together than either actors with Reese Witherspoon. Nothing against Reese but those two fighting over her in the film, I just won't buy it. Maybe if it was someone like Rachel McAdams or Jessica Chastain, it'll be more believable.

I love that so many people are like why tf is fools rush in on this list. If anything the movie Serving Sarah with Mathew Perry is a much better example of bad chemistry. Though I haven't seen it in awhile but I read his book and it makes more sense.

I've never been a fan of the friends to lovers trope. I can sorta get it if their friends in more of an acquaintance sense but not life long besties who're suddenly hot for eachother. Now, enemies to lovers? That can be interesting if played correctly!

I think knocked up is a great movie, and that their chemistry is perfect for the story line. The whole point is that they are not well matched, but have to make it work. in the beginning, she even finds him gross, and wants nothing to do with him.

Fools rush in is a classic and I loved their chemistry together! And I thought Katherine Heigl was well-matched with James marsden in 27 dresses. And I think Paul Rudd would have been a better cast for the male lead in marry me.

Chemistry is overrated.
Who knows why couples work? It can only be explained by the people themselves.
Others might think it won't work, but it does.
Also, the whole premise is that a lot of them are mismatched at the start.

Fools Rush In shouldn't have worked but it did. Matthew Perry isn't a typical romantic lead but his goofy guy next door charm could appeal to some women who aren't obsessed with finding the cool, perfect guy.
