Backstreet Boys was my Childhood Boyband when I was 7 in 1998 I am 32 years old now & still Love their music I also was into another Band that was around in the late 90s it was a Girl Band called Bewitched & their song called Cest La Vie was my Favorite which I thought would be on the list or in the Honorable Mentions list

Oh boyy. where do I start here? My heart will go on. MMmboompop and Wannbee. yes, the only ones I know here. I am not surprised Wannabe is number one, since it became a craze. It became quite a copied song/dance rutine in school. Everyone was doing it. It became an earworm for month. but booombop. not heard them in years
reply

OK so I have to admit number one was a complete shocker but in my heart knew it. But what I heard the number 2 and number 3 slots. I was like what could probably look at top. That and then yeah, it was totally my favorite song of the nineties of courso
reply

New Age Girl by Deadeye Dick is my ultimate favorite. I used to hear that a lot when I was a kid. As an adult, now I understand the lyrics but the song is quite catchy for a a rock. I still love it and it's always on my Most Wanted playlist.
reply

7: 06 oh my god all I can think of is when I was in theater this started playing when we were doing set work and a bunch of middle schoolers started screaming singing this. Great memories of watching the 6th graders being so confused.
reply

Barbie girl, As long as you love me, get what you give, If your getting down, I swear, I'll never break your heart, Genie in a bottle, What a girl wants, No matter what, love me for a reason, I'll make love to you, Be with you.
reply

Smells Like Teen Spirit should be number 1 let alone not just an honorable mention. What about Smashing Pumpkins Tonight, Tonight. I had a very different 90s childhood than most of this list apparently.
reply

I know this is a rough opinion.
But I hated Wannabe as a kid, and kinda still do. Maybe its mostly cause my Mom kept singing to it which drove me crazy, but I just never found it a feel good song

reply

I didn't even know No Scrubs WAS a 90's song. I'd never heard it until a month ago. I don't agree with a few of these picks. Mmmmbop should have been in the top 10, not an honorable mention
reply

For me, Kiss Me and There She Goes by Six Pence None the Richer and Shes So High by Tal Bachman. I was born in 96 but I remember these songs playing on the early 2000s radio frequently.
reply

I CANNOT BELIEVE 'Whoomp! There It Is! ' by Tag Team isn't on this list because when I hear that song I holler out we're going back to 1993 or 1994 and the high school I graduated from
reply

I know this is the most boomer statement ever but they just really don't make music like they used to. Nothing feels fun anymore cause it's almost all so generic and forgettable
reply

And then Geri Halliwell left the group in the middle of their North American Tour because she didn't agree with something. And then in the early 2000s they quietly disbanded.
reply

How in the world did Nirvana end up in the honourable mentions! Thats nuts. They were everywhere in the 90s. They brought grunge to the forefront of music. Its insulting.
reply

i still and i repeat i still can't get enough of smells like teen spirit on repeat because modern music culture is still trash right now. much respect kurt cobain.
reply

You guys need to either making top 10s for different GENRES from the 90s, or do a top 100; because there a A LOT of songs that should have been on this list that arent.
reply

Iconic '90s artists who define the decade, IMO - NSYNC, Celine Dion, Selena, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, 98 Degrees, Nirvana, Spice Girls
reply

So zero rock and one grunge in the honorable mentions? What 90s did you live in? The one pop radio station? Come on. Worst list from you guys in a while.
reply

no madonna? no alanis morissette? no mariah carey? no janet? no michael? no boys II men? no aaliyah? no metallica? no tupac or biggie? dr. dre and snoop?
reply

H-Town and Another Bad Creation and Da Youngtas and Hi-Five are missin from this list. I think there maybe a few more but yeah. Thank you!
reply

belters my heart will go on and I want it that way but nsync christina aguilera also 90's music era brit so much fun to do anything with
reply

I think Britney Spears and Spice Girls should have been switched. Baby One More Time was iconic in the 90s and everyone knew it!
reply

God, I hate Green Day. Most annoying band ever.
Nirvana should've taken that spot instead of being honorable mention.

reply

Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You was one of the biggest songs of the 90's can't believe it didn't make the list!
reply

Yall done effed up by not mentioning Mariah Carey! Like giiiirrrl bye! Or even Madonna! And BSB shouldve been #1!
