Well, nothing against nepotism, as long as the person really appreciates their privileges and has the talent to carry on. Because in this Hollywood industry, we ask ourselves EVEN TODAY how there are people who continue to be successful! It will be appearance, because the person is beautiful and standard, or because there is someone important supporting, but really talent. No, no!
Look at the case of Angelina Jolie, she insisted on trying to do tests, without revealing who her father was. And today she is an icon. We know that in the world, WE ALWAYS NEED HELP. Always someone who believes in us and helps us to walk with our own legs. Now, to insist on someone, that you are seeing that are not getting it at all, and even so the person insists on keeping it because of the powerful family (because of nepotism, It's hard to defend! Then they really should look for another profession!

If they didnt get their roles purely by name &/or parental intervention, then they wouldnt classify, in my opinion.
Honestly didnt recognize many of the names & some really dont bear a whole lot of resemblance to their parents, so from my perspective, unless a kid got their role like the first kid (Tim Allens, b/c one of the parent is in the movie or directed/produced the movies, I wouldnt quite label them as nepo babies, per se.
Osment, Apatow & Roberts were the only three I recognized & those three are definitely nepo babies, emphasis on Emma Roberts.
Its interesting how things have changed, b/c I read somewhere that many people, pre-2000s, would change their surnames just so they can shed their connection to their famous parents. This particular article was re: Rockwell & how he changed his name & signed with his fathers label without anyone knowing who he really was.

I don't get why nepotism in Hollywood is such a big deal to some people. It's nothing new and has been going on for decades. It's no different than generations of cops, miners or train conductors. And being the child of a famous star doesn't mean they're going to be just as successful. Maybe they're getting a chance most people wouldn't have, but that's about it.
I keep seeing lists on the younger, more recent generations in Hollywood. No one talks much of the past generations, like Dick Van Dyke's son Barry being on two shows with him, or Judy Garland's kids Lorna and Sid Luft and Liza Minelli. To make things more interesting, there should be lists on past nepobabies.

Hey Watchmojo you forgot to mention that Nico Parker started her big role in and Disney live-action film Dumbo. BTW why Damon Wayans son Damon Wayans Jr not on this list. He starred in numerous hit TV series and movies like the Fox hit comedy series New Girl with Zooey Deschanel and Let's Be Cops so on. Plus you forgot about legendary actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore daughter( Rumer Willis) and Denzel Washington son(David John Washington) as well.

I remember watching Emma Roberts on the nickelodeon show unfabulous i used to watch her on that show it was OK it was pretty funny though honestly, if she ever went back to do a reboot of it, I will be pretty surprised, but watching her on that show made me remember her and I love listening to her version of Santa Claus is coming to town. I cant stop listening to that version two its pretty fun.

I don't think Ever Anderson should count, as her parents tried to steer her away from the industry. Plus it sounds like she's come into it to make a name for herself in her own right, rather than because of who her parents are.
But even beyond that, I don't even think a boomer or Gen X-er would make the connection between half these actors and their parents.

There are a lot more you could add to this list but the one from new Zealand and the UK can't really be counted on this list if their parents aren't really known in Hollywood. I it's good you picked for the rest people who's break out roles mostly were with their parents movies that's what a nepotism baby is.

To me, nepotism is giving someone a job or position simply because of who their family is. But if someone has put in the time and effort, has the talent, can stand on their own, and could get the part without help. Then they deserve to and shouldn't be punished because of who their family is.

I feel like nepotism refers more towards people getting the job with out talent. Like Jaden Smith for example. I feel like his dad basically produces movies to put him in. Of the ones Ive heard of in this list they all have talent. And arent riding on their famous names.

I have found out who was Kaityln Dever. She is related to her Legendary voice actor father Tim Dever who lend the voice of Barney The Dinosaur in Barney & Friends. I have remembered her in bad Teacher where she acted opposite Cameron Diaz before The Last Man Standing.
