For me, The Sound of Music is the top and I really think it should be higher
Till today, though having seen many different movies, the dance between Maria and Captain in The Sound of Music is still the most romantic scene in films I thought.
The dreamy chemistry is beyond description, overflowing the screen My heart is touched, melted and broken
I know The Sound of Music(1965) isn't a love movie, but the chemistry and love between Maria and Captain is unmatched Whether their daily talk, this dance, or the KISS later Always make my heart quiver, which is very rare to me even when I was seeing some iconic love movies.

I love every dance in the list, except the remake of West Side Story. The dance you included is a virtual step by step copy of the dance in the original. The original would have been a better choice. Also, most of the dances are copies of the originals. Jerome Robbins' choreagraphy has to be used in productions of WSS by contract. Originals should be exalted while copiers should be given a ho hum.

I have a soft spot in my heart for dancing scenes, I love them all (from this list my favorites are Sound of Music and Casper.
If you make another list can include Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon's scene at the mall in Shall We Dance? And if you make a list of tv shows, definitely should include Anne with an E's dance scene at the school (the magic moment between Anne and Gilbert.

I've always been in awe of that dress in Cheek to Cheek. I've never been a fan of feathers on clothing. It just looks so tacky to me. But watching her dance and the feathers flow and glide around her just looks so incredibly stunning and elegant. I guess the dress was a be pale blue, I wish there were pictures of it in color.

I think its cute how the 2021 west side story came out the same as CBeebies numberblocks season 5 and for the 100th numberblocks episode that aired in 2021 the show parodied west side story in the episode odd side story while also teaching its target audience odd and even numbers

I don't know about slow, but the Anne With an E dance practice scene. Teenagers weren't allowed to slow-dance then. But Gilbert messed up the steps deliberately to get as close as he could to Anne, and afterwards they were both, well how do you put it politely? All shook up.

I hated this version of Pride and Prejudice. I love Matthew Macfadyen as an actor - but all the wigs were awful and it just not come close to the the UK TV mini series with Colin Firth. Just my opinion. Also Jennifer Ehle was better in Elizabeth's role too.

So Close from Enchanted is my favorite but besides the incredible dance moves of Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, it's Jon McLaughlin voice that makes me emotional everytime. Such an underrated singer.
