What would be cool is a team sport, one part focused on the physical while the other on the tech side.
It could be a combat arena where the tech guys duke it out over the game side and that causes things to happen in the actual physical space.
The physical side could also effect the game side by doing various extra things. Idk, like getting a key or something and using it somewhere. Or hitting a button on the opponents side.

My Idea would be Strike
A mixture between a shooter (Counter -Strike-) and Bowling (-Strike- as in 10 pins)
Two Teams up to 5 people play a shooter
But a bowling match is played at the same time, so they have to go afk to bowl, which enables the enemies to farm easy kills, if your team doesn't protect you
Respawn timer is 5 sek the whole game so no one can strategically die
Points are calculated with points in bowling and kills in the shooter

It-s an incredible game, nearly perfectly put together, but I just don-t think anything will ever surpass Minion Rush in the hearts of the world. I just bought a 12th device just so I could download Minion Rush once again

It would appear that surfer ball would require you to main surfing and that balling would be more of a passive play, constantly dodging and only throwing were a ball to come near you.
