Like many others, I have only 36 out of 37 conversations. I have played this game 7 times - the first time I missed a bunch of these, but in each subsequent time I used the optional conversation guide at IGN and gotten all 37. And yet I have never gotten this trophy, and the statistics for each game says -Conversations = 36-.
I have seen someone say online that when you play as Ellie and discover the bodies of David's missing men, you get 2 prompts - one for the body on the floor, and one for the body leaning against the wall. This person said that you have to do the prompt for the body leaning against the wall. Tried that, didn't make any difference - same dialogue from David, still only 36 conversations at the end of the game.
Also seen online that there are 2 Firefly logos on the university walls before you leave Ellie to fight Infected in the basement - one on a wall to your left, and later one on the wall directly in front of you. I have played where I have selected the one on my left, and played again where I have selected the one ahead of me. Didn't make any difference.
This is -very- annoying.

When you play as Ellie and enter the room with David where you find the bodies of David's missing men, there are 2 bodies, each with a separate conversation prompt - one body on the floor, the other slumped against the wall. Both of these give the same dialogue from David. I have seen online that you have to do the prompt for the body slumped on the wall - not the one laying on the floor - to get credit for this particular conversation.
I have tried both in different playthroughs - still only got 36 conversations. So I don't know if this is a thing.

I'm on my 5th run of this game and still stuck on 33 conversations. -
I've done easy with no guide. -
After doing easy with a guide, the game registered 5 conversations. lol. -
After easy+ with a guide, the game registered 33 conversations. -
After survivor with a guide, I'm still at 33 conversations. -
I've conversed 3 times and still only on 33 in the stats menu?
I know there's 2 I think I've missed, but the other 2, no idea.

Do you have to have every convo in the game to get this? Because, in addition to the ones mentioned below that were missed (I didn't get those cause I didn't see the notes until after, there are several where Ellie tells jokes from her joke book, not sure how many total, but I got optional convo in the book store and a second in the hotel lobby that weren't shown here.

Finally I get this trophy after one day from finishing the game, first of all I want to thank PowerPyx for this guide, second thing you want to check the conversation No. 18 there is 3 times engage with Ellie you have to do it 8: 26, the another conversation No. 32 at the beginning of chapter you have to engage with Ellie 16: 24

You missed the best one right at the start. Just before the first conversation in your video there are two men to the left. When approaching them one gives you grief and when walking away the other guy is like 'dont you know who that was! ' letting you know very early in the game that Joel isn't someone to mess with.

For anyone missing one, it can be the bodies of the fireflies right before you meet Ellie, it can also be a convo in the book store where Ellie mentions that she likes to read, right before the 20th convo you can also interact with the wall, i did all of those and after doing the ones in the video it gave me the trophy.

This trophy is killing me - TLOU Remastered on PS4 - Tried both bodies in the lakeside resort, re-did all of hotel lobby and suburbs, hanging body. Skimming through the video I'm certain I have them all. edit: is there a way of seeing your progress on my version? I'm assuming I'm 36/37 but have no actual idea.

So my missing optional talk was not anywhere I believe it would be. It was on the (go big horns) level. And I know I collected it before. But on the firefly emblem where ellie says -look- and then in the video he went to the second emblem. I decided to also and ended up getting the trophy.

As many people in the comments mentioned, a glitch I had before getting my platinum trophy was at The University after you pass the monkey area. If you stick to the right side make sure to chat about the 2nd firefly logo not the first

Very nice vid although you kinda missed the dialog at the -death for freedom- graffiti at financial district, which is next to the booby trapped shops, commenting at the bodies of executed soldiers.
Nevertheless great work guys, keep it up-

Optional Conversations 36/37 issue - after trying for 4721094 times, I finally realized that I was doing the wrong firefly logo for #29 in University. Finally got the trophy - look at the video and make sure you-re doing the right one. Cheers!

Fun fact: when you arrive at the hotel lobby, after you've climbed the first ladder in the entrance area, if you stand still there, a little dialogue prompt will pop over Ellie's head and she'll read additional jokes from her pun book

I checked in bonus an tags an it-s says I have it butt when I go to my trophies I don-t have there something I-m missing here why it says I have the trophie but it does not show up on my psn but it does on tags please help someone

anybody who is stuck at 36 on the ps4 go to application saved data management go to the last of us delete (profile) only no need to delete saved data then go through every conversation (easier with chapters)

Convo 24 was the last one I missed and following you guide to the dot helped me out, was starting to think its a glitch. Anyways good luck to all the people out there still playing this wonderful game.

ANYONE MISSING A CONVO AFTER BEATING THE GAME: at university you HAVE to activate the SAME firefly symbols he does in the video. there's 3 that prop the same convo but only that one counts for the trophy

For those who still have one missing, delete your previous saved games and start a brand new game.

In the bus depot, isn't the conversation that you talk to Ellie as she's sitting on the bench - not trying the ladder and then telling her to come over and help you?

If you-re at 36/37 there-s a high chance you talked in the wrong firefly logo at the university. Refer to 15: 20 for the conversation.
