OZZY AND ACE! The two deaths this year that hit me the hardest! Mani was another sad loss, and I'm glad Connie Francis lived to see Pretty Little Baby become popular again before she passed.
As always Random, thank you for a lovely tribute video. may everyone mentioned be at peace.

These type of compilations always remind me of Ricky Gervais’ classic joke at one of the Golden Globes at the peak of wokeism:
We were going to do an In Memoriam segment but when I saw the list of people who had died I said no. it wasn’t diverse enough. It was mostly white people.

reply

I remember the date Ozzy passed very vividly. My mother got a call from my father about it and she told me a few minutes after. And one of my friends told me about Marianne and Brian's deaths on Discord. RIP Marianne, Brian, Ozzy, Ace, Sam, Jimmy, and everyone else.
reply

As I said on the last upload, thank you for the work you put into these every year. May all the artists rest in peace. Except Iain Watkins. He can burn in hell.
EDIT: didn’t see that he was cut out yet. Good!

reply

Their passings brought me endless numbers of tears this year. Especially Ozzy's emotionally affected me the most. Rest in peace to them all. Additional mentions to Chuck Mangione, Tomas Lindberg and Brent Hinds.
reply

You forgot to mention Jellybean Johnson, the drummer and founding member of the Times. He passed away at age 69. He also play guitar on Janet Jackson hit single Black Cat. Rest in peace to everyone that we lost.
reply

Amazing how many lived to ripe old ages (Tom Lehrer at 97. Saddest for me was the passing of Marianne Faithfull and Roberta Flack. I remember Mike Berry from Are You Being Served, but he never had an impact in the US.
reply

Wow. I had a chance to see Soft Cell earlier this year, but didn’t go because I didn’t have the money to spend on it. If I’d known it’d be my _only_ chance, I might’ve been more inclined to go
reply

Suggestion - you should do these videos on New Years Eve because enough musicians die in December. If you did a video like this in 1980 you could have missed John Lennon
reply

#71: Jack White; I hope that this is a different Jack White than the Jack White of The White Stripes because the Jack White of that group is still very much alive at age 50.
reply

I would also really appreciate a list of U. K. Christmas Number Ones from 1952-2024, though that probably won't happen, due to Rolf Harris singing one of them.
reply

I apprechiate your work. Will you make an update for those who will die till the end of the year
Why do so many year reviews are leaving the december out

reply

Thanks for reposting for the third time today. The only musicians' deaths I remembered were Ozzy Osbourne, Marianne Faithfull, Brian Wilson and Linda Nolan.
reply

You forgot Gilson Lavis of Squeeze. Weird of you to omit him and include David Lynch seeing as Lynch is better known as a filmmaker, not a musician.
reply

I’m also confused because you used the same clip of Tavares for the member who passed away last year. Couldn’t have been the same guy, right
reply

Great video as always. If you ever need to upload a new version, please include Klaus Doldinger and use Das Boot theme song.
reply

In my country, we have Pilita Corrales, Nora Aunor, Hajji Alejandro, Freddie Aguilar, and Davey Langit, who passed away this year
reply

We’ve just lost Steve Crooper, A founding member of Booker T and the MG’s October 21st 1941, December 3rd 2025, (aged 84) RIP
