We inherited’ a stray white quite young female cat, she appeared one day and stayed, six months later she turned up with three little white kittens, all girls! Our local council were doing a free neutering and speying drive so I got all four ( done), they wouldn’t come indoors, so I put insulated boxes and blankets out on our porch, a bit after that a big white much older male turned up and began sleeping with them! i think he’s the dad! I’m feeding them all, just hoping no more relatives turn up! Lol

Kinda the same thing at my apartment. Empty lot behind my place had a gang of ferals living there way before I moved in. After a few months I noticed some of them were friendly and I'd give them treats. Within a week the main 2 cats (Goofy-Eyes Garfield and Mama Garfield) would just stroll into my kitchen when I'd open the door and saunter around like they were inspecting my place lol. Been 4 years and theres 6 regulars now.

I wonder how this lady, or we, would have reacted if someone asked us to house a young refugee family - parents and three little children - in the backyard. No cost, all we had to do is give up some space for a few years. Would this lady or we be as generous towards humans If no, ask yourself, why not
What if we were asked to cede our backyards for five years to five orphan children, or five elderly homeless people

That is awesome. I was never a pet person. Then I got a cat for my girlfriend. The girlfriend is gone but my babies (yes babies plural) are the furry loves of my life. Couldn't imagine my life with out them. I lost Lionel the OC (original cat) last year. When my parents passed I didn't cry but when Lionel passed, that was the most painful thing I had ever felt. Crazy.

Sad fact that first cat might belong the previous owner and she kept living in the area because she left behind. Unfortunately its common somehow. But I am so happy that Addy sacrificed her gym to cats and being happy with it. I have 7 indoor and 3-5 outside cats and I can feel her joy. Blessings lovely Addy and her cat family.

When a cat walks between your feet and legs as the two of you are walking. This is a learned behavior they had from doing the same to their Mother!

Watching this after i went to look in the shelter i just built for a family of cats in my backyard and seeing Leo the one that follow me during the construction of the shelter sleeping on the sherpa cover with the heat pad underneath melt my heart away.

Be careful, madam, these cats come from the streets and eat garbage, so before raising them, send them to the veterinarian to take vaccinations to protect you and your family from communicable diseases.

I hope that the cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and get flea prevention. I live in a semi rural area and have taken in three cats that showed up in my backyard. They are wonderful little companions.

Can you trap and spay them That’s what I did. They are a lot happier and there is less fighting. If you don’t you ll easily end up with hundreds of cats.
