Even my friends that hunt. I don't know anyone that would intentionally be cruel to animals. Not any more than they would to humans. I think most humans would love to have an interaction with a wild creature, and would help it along in any way they could. that's why people feed wild ducks.
Make them used to humans. Allow them to feel they can come to us for help, because 99% of us would. I would gladly follow a deer MILES through the woods to help its fawn. We all would.
Also, gorillas that can sign each their babies how to sign. Lets teach a bunch of gorilla how to sign, and in a couple hundred years humans will be able to talk to gorillas.
Then we can combine them with robots and create the perfect soldier.

It's a nice idea, but I couldn't do a soft release here where we are, foxes live in the city center where all the fast food is, then they just burrow through into other people's backyards, which is when people complain about foxes. the only reason they are here is because they have nowhere else to go and all the food is here. they basically stalk people in the streets for food in Scotland, they have no fear. it's a problem!

As lovely as this seems, there's one BIG problem you haven't addressed. They don't know how to hunt. That was something the mother and father teach them. You may have just sent them out to their deaths because they'll either starve or get killed by a much large animal, if not a human. This is why cubs are raised in captivity. It's not about domestication, it's about keeping them alive.

once you care for these sweet little; e ones they have been dependent on you and you release them to their death and you make it like you've done such a wonderful thing - you should have reached out to people that would have cared for them the rest of their lives, but they probably starved to death with no recearch to find out what to do for them!

Kudos on having a pen and all and doing soft release as well as providing food just in case. I see a lot of stories on here where the rescuers don't even try to release the animal and make excuses that it wouldn't survive etc. I think animals know if they can survive so you should always give them the opportunity to leave

This software release needs to be a course of Study in Universities. Follow up studies need to be performed to ensure and tune these Soft Releases. I often wonder how Soft Releases apply to other species of animals. Soft release is brilliant. Thank God for who ever pioneered this technique. Brilliant.

as someone who volunteered at a wildlife center I got to help some owls, othe birds and baby opossums and we had someone bring in a skunk that wouldn't spray no matter what the volunteers did but we did have someone who takes care of wild skunks as well. I love wildlife

Soft release: great concept; the animal gets the best of both worlds. Cuteness x 3. I'm sure they were grateful for your help, but when they ran out, it was like yay, we're real foxes now! Analogous to what students feel at graduation.

I wouldn’t be good at this. When those little puff balls crawled into my lap I wouldn’t be able to stop bonding and taming them. I don’t have the strength to let them go. Bless your for completing God’s work.

Thanks for your great work. Love seeing foxes in the wild. One has domesticated himself in my moms neighborhood from exposure to kind people and no free roaming dogs.

Still have to wonder if a positive association with people is a good thing. It’s quite possible they will associate people with food. Most people shoot foxes.
