Pittie Wasn't Allowed Around Dogs Becomes Best Friends With Dog Neighbor Pittie Nation My dog is tiny and is terrified of other dogs. I’ve tried the pet store, the doggy park, just walks around the neighborhood trying to mingleand you can tell my dog really wants to be friends but. she’s too scared. But our neighbors have a little dog and a little hole opened up in our fence. And now my dog has a friend, they can lay their little heads side by side in the little hole and stare into each other’s backyards or run up and down the fence line. It’s so cute. She still won’t meet and greet when they meet without a fence between them though. And ever since my dog has picked up lots of fence friends. She goes and greets all the backyard dogs when we go out on walks, she knows where each of them live behind their fences.

This very much looks like whoever took care of Willie before simply went about introducing him to other dogs the wrong way. I see no hint of aggression towards other dogs in him, maybe some other dog annoyed him eariler, and when he defended himself, he got a reputation for not getting along with other dogs. Good thing _Minty Fresh_ (awesome name) is just a cool fellow who made Willie like him instantly. Dogs who cannot meet other canines miss out on a lot of fun and important interaction.

I would never take to heart what shelter workers say. All dogs are different at shelters. It is a highly strung atmosphere with so much sadness and puppers that are just so scared its horrible. You get the furbaby out of that environment and they are totally different animals. Bless both these gorgeous babies. It made me wonder why this gorgeous husky was always out and able to be at this woman's yard all the time. Made me wonder about his owners.

We fostered a pit bull who was dog-aggressive. That is, until he met Rowdy, a young bloodhound. They played hard for a long time. Then they would just drop in exhaustion. After a rest, they were playing again. Rebel, the pit bull, was adopted by the neighbors next door to Rowdy. Now they can play together every day. It is delightful to see.

This gave me hope for my rescued Pittie who was also on a chain her entire life. She's a little older (I think. her exact age is hard to know, but she has had a friend. She just doesn't know how to play and stays a bit guarded. Maybe she'll never be this comfortable, but who knows!

You can never judge a being by your experience with them in jail. Humans, dogs and cats are not who you see when they are caged for long periods without interaction. I know humans that have never been the recipients of this kind of second chance. Take that to heart.

Leave it to a husky to just be like ah, F it. I'm gonna be his friend, damn the rules. My neighbors met my full-blooded husky the day after I got him when my g/f let him out to pee and he jumped the fence and entered their house through the doggie door.

This is such an amazing story! Minty and Willie must’ve been best friends in a past life because they acted like they’ve known each other forever! Two buddies living their best lives!

If I have a dog and other dogs ask him/her for her name they would be like
Doggo: look I don't even know my name so my hooman comes up with like 100 different names a day. So yap.

Hey this is the dog that comes to the office! And mint is special but it seems his owners let him roam around and without a collar Seems risky
reply

Side note: I think the cats little stretch going up to Mint through the door window means the cat want to be friends with Mint too

Thank you for getting him off the chain. people who think dogs are yard ornaments or bling on a chain are in danger around me!

I had a neighbor dog like that, he spent more time at my house it was like having a dog with no responsibility. Loved it.
