Spicy Cat Mama Won't Let Rescuers Touch Her Babies For those who claim Cats Of San Bernardino are evil, here is an update about Creekside:
Can you guys believe its been over a year since we rescued Creekside
If youre new to our page and dont know Creekside, we rescued this Mama and her babies from outside of a high traffic apartment building. The finders told us that she had previously given birth to two litters on their porch and that none of the previous kittens had survived
She had similar issues with this litter, soon after rescue her kittens started to fade. With our support and the incubator living we were able to get two of her babies to thrive. Their names are Fern and Pebbles. Those two cuties both got adopted to amazing forever homes.
Creekside went on to help us save 2 kittens from another litter whom were all suffering from Panleukopenia. Those two kittens Hay and Cow got adopted together and are living their best lives
After going through so much suffering in her life (she even lost an eye out on the street. We knew re-release wasnt an option. Creekside is now living out her golden years as queen of our Catio. Shes still a spicy girl but she is loving life. She has her catio friends, endless food and water, and her favourite heating pad.
She is one special girl.

Stumbled upon two cat Colonies at a local restaurant and motel. There were about 35 cats. 10 of Them babies. People would Throw human food out for Them. Sometimes people would poison a whole litter of kittens! My first job was catching The babies. Similar approach _ I caught a couple Kittens and put Them in a kitten trap and placed if in The box trap. LOL I was determined and caught 24 cats initially. It was crazy but at least I knew They were safe. Many of Those people in the motel hated me for taking Their entertainment and would kick open The traps, etc. In 3 years I was able to catch 35 cats and get most adopted out. Many of These Cats were not truly feral. They were left behind by Renters. Renters who liked Kittens but would dump Them out when They needed to be neutered or have vet care. Feral cat life is terrible.

Before my mom died in 2017, a feral momma cat had given birth under her house porch. She called the spay and neuter task force and they caught the momma and babies, vaccinated them and spayed and neutered them when they were old enough, and then returned them to my mom with the intention of taming them for adoption. Unfortunately, my mom died before she could accomplish this. The momma cat and two of her offspring went to the local barn cat program but one of them was not suitable because he wouldn't let anyone get near him. I took him back because they were going to euthanize him. He's been living in my home now for five years. He gets the run of the house with his two buddies. He still won't let anyone near him. But that's okay, at least he's with me and taken care of.

I've rescued feral cats and they became very adoptable. In fact, I found a male that had been hit by a car and he was stunned. I put on a pair of gloves in case he tried to bite or scratch me. He hissed at me a few times but he would never bite. I put him in my bedroom with a litter box and I didn't try to force myself on him. I let him come to me. The very first night he saw me take a bite out of a sandwich and his eyes flew open wide and he meowed to me that he was hungry so I gave him a piece of my sandwich. That is the only time he has ever made a sound. Now, I can pick him up and hold him like a baby and he goes to sleep. So, feral cats are adorable. You just have to spend time with them and let them come to you. It works every time.

Aww, nature can be cruel when it comes to baby animals, but everything in nature happens for a purpose. The two that passed may have been too poorly to thrive, or sometimes it happens because mum cannot nurse them all for whatever reason, sometimes milk production etc. In the animal kingdom, nature prioritises the survival of the healthy and strong animals. The two who made it will grow into lovely fussy wonderful cats. Thank you for what you did for this cat mum and her babies, the universe rewards good people like yourself: )

Mama is a warrior cat, she wears the scares of defending herself. She is gorgeous, I would love to have her even if she is aggressive. Just give her the space she needs to become comfortable. I had Lionel for almost 10 years before he passed. He was terrified of me when I stode up. Eventually he would come and lay in my recliner with me when I was sitting down. Seldom let me touch him but when I did get to pet him, it made my day complete. Loved him so much. He was a warrior cat also. So I gave him the respect he was entitled to.

She's so beautiful! What a gorgeous cat! I just rescued a feral mama and her 5 very sick kittens. I distracted her with tuna and grabbed the kittens to take to the vet. It's been interesting giving the kittens meds 3 times a day. They all survived and are completely well. Mama has finally stopped hissing and spitting at me. I can't pet her yet but she will love me! She will touch her nose to my hand and eat Churus from my hand, too. Yesterday, we shared the sofa. I'm so happy.

Ya I wouldn't post anymore videos. Find a different job.
2 dead kittens and Feral cat you couldn't even slightly domesticate. Probably because you use sticks and Poop scoops to handle animals YOU BROUGHT INTO YOUR CARE SO YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
The idea is to provide a BETTER ENVIROMENT Not a worse one

reply

you know what when a cat is missing an eye that should tell you to stop sticking your phone in their face so put it down and take care of the situation as needed. you're just making things worse by getting up in their grill so maintain some distance.
reply

Poor momma cat! She is very protective of her babies of course. Also it seems like she has a problem with her vision and that might frighten her more. She is so beautiful. The babies are
adorable! I hope she will have a wonderful life now!

Yea not a good video. U should never break up a mama cat from her young. U acted like cps. U should gain her trust and then help them together. We watch dodo all the time and this is by far the worst story and video ever produced.
reply

All the kittens might have survived if you people hadn't interfered. So entitled to play God. Why don't you find something better to do like saving children. You won't though. you need your 15 minutes of fame.
reply

There is a lot of suspicion in this video that does not make sense. Watch the video really carefully and maybe watch it again with subtitles and see if you can find the details that are not right.
reply

If you would have given them more to grow before touching them. They would have all lived. I've raised enough to know that, and you stressed out momma. As little contact as possible.
reply

Just leave them alone once you've gotten them to safety. No need for content when they are two days old. man, we've really screwed up when the rescuers need clout.
reply

Aw my cat's name is momma. Named her that after she brought her baby kittens into my house from outside one by one. Kept her and she's been my shadow ever since.
reply

at least you did not follow the dead ones around first like Nature does, and then 'Kibbles never made it back'. Always be prepared for infants to be killed on Nature.
reply

Nobody would want to adopt an ugly full grown cat with a missing eye that is mean to boot. Sounds like she lost three of her babies. Not two.
reply

Yep dont underestimate angry cats, even little house cats - not to mention most cat bites get infected, sometimes with VERY nasty consequence.
reply

Excellent & informative video. The idea of using a ladle to get the baby kittens is excellent and a great trick for us rescuers.

What happened to the other kitty
Where's the other kitty
There were 3 white ones
1 black kitty
1 brown and black cat

reply

Mommy could be tamed if there was time to work with her. It's a shame about her eye. She's had a rough life in the wild.
reply

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kittens. unfortunatly 2 of her babies didn't make it, but the other 2.
What happened to the 5th kitten

reply

The mysterious disappearance of one of the five kittens. It's either the black one or one of the 3 orange kittens
reply

U realize u were the 1 that killed those 2 kittens, handling them as much as you did when they were first born
reply

Did mom get adopted She sure was protective of her babies and deserves a good, loving home.
Let us know, please.

reply

I wonder why animal love their child soo much better than human that make abortion because of pride.
reply

I am so sad that 3 of the babies didn't make it. :'( I know they tried there hardest to save them.
reply

You even did not treated or said in a video wat had happen to one of the eyes of mama cat
reply

Poor mommy
Looks like its been a tuff road for her.
least she's safe n cared for

reply

100% confused about the undercarriage of that vehicle, if nothing screams staged, that does.
reply

Mom has a bad attitude. Rude, disrespectful. She needs to learn manners and respect.
reply

I lost a barn kitten I got him to survive five days. I’m proud he passed warm and loved
reply
