I adopted a pair of toy-breed sisters from a large breeding facility and this is exactly what their personalities were like. Timid & polite. Shy around people - great around other dogs. A vet told me, Notice how they don't have 'small dog syndrome' It's bc they weren't coddled & babied & carried everywhere. It was definitely true with my pair - and you can see it's true with these two, as they're far more like dogs than the stereotypical chihuahua that yaps & nips. But it's also heartbreaking to see what emotional neglect has done to them. These two really came out of their shells, and so did mine - they get more outgoing and filled-with-personality by the day!

I adopted a little Chihuahua and she only loved my husband. It took 2 years to coax her out of the bedroom. She is still partial to my hubby but in giving her time and not knowing what she had to deal with, I'd say she's come a very long way. Now I even get to pet her. People just have to give these babies time to realize they're safe and no one is going to hurt them again. It's so worth it in the end.

Love this! Looks like they brought each other so much happiness. These little cuties are perfectly aligned with their new mom; like they were all meant to coexist. I was so happy when she said, I think this foster has failed’. And I love that momma kept them together; she’s an angel.

Those people are sick. 40 dogs and chained them I couldn't even imagine how these puppies would have felt.
