eat bugs, eating meat is CRUEL, the processing of meat is CRUEL they say-- but keeping these critters in tiny cages is totaly fine, (as long as its a giant global cooporation, then its not abuse apparently)

In the Netherlands, stores with aquarium sections keep their betta in large maintained tanks of at least 5 gallons large, usually alone, sometimes together with fish they're generally okay with, but never two males together. Cups are out of the question here and I'm very glad for it.

Go to any pet store and if you don't see a dying beta on the shelf, it just means the employees saw it before you did and threw the fish away. These are considered cheap animals by humans. Life is generally worth very little to humans if its not their own life.

I had a Betta named Titian who gave me such beauty every day I saw him. Fish are not worthless, they should be treated with all the care as any other animal we place in captivity.

It’s crazy how beta fish always change color when you put them in better living conditions. The same thing happened to me too twice! They have beautiful colors
