Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
we’re counting down our picks for some of the most vile, sadistic, and evil villains in fiction. Our countdown includes villains Sauron, Nurse Ratched, Gus Fring and more! Did our vile machinations keep your favorite villain off of our list What about Dr Zachary Smith from Lost in Space He tried multiple times to kill the Robinsons. He constantly lies and deceives, and he's endlessly selfish and greedy. He is a coward who, when under threat, holds children in front of him as a human shield. He betrayed Will dozens of times, and more than once sold him and the rest of the family out to aliens. He always eats more than his share and never helps with any chore. He became a buffoon to save Jonathan Harris's job but Smith always lied, betrayed, schemed and shirked. He's one of the worst.

WatchMojo: He is covetous, he is selfish-
Me: He's a lackey for Prince John.
I'm also willing to defend the Borg as having a blue/orange morality as opposed to being genuinely evil. I suspect the reason they intend to assimilate all life in the universe is because they feel being able to communicate with the entire collective at cybernetic speed is so preferable to all of their previous existences that the option of doing it by force now just makes so much more logical sense to them than spending an extended period of time trying to convince them orally to join the collective (especially when digital communication can make a second of real time feel like a year by comparison.

For over 45 years, we’ve learned few things about the character Michael Myers:
- He committed a first murder when he was an underdeveloped child (6-years-old, his victim was his 17-year-old sister Judith Myers in 1963.
- Michael doesn’t kill children 8 years and under. Just people in their preadolescence, teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s.
- Michael doesn’t even speak after all these years.
- Michael Myers’ true motive was literally unknown.

Invictus from final space should have been on this list. It has done a lot of horrible things such as tormenting bolo to the point of vengeance, murdering Fox, corrupting the lord commander, destroyed countless planets, ruined the lives of Gary and little Cato, and twisted Ash’s mind to get her to join it. Hopefully that being gets its karma in the final chapter graphic novel

hmm. i feel like theres a few not mentioned such as the patrick bateman, chucky that couldve easily made this list. but really lord palpatine as #1 i mean the dude is bad no questions asked but it feels like an attempt to appease the star wars commumity so that they dont flood the comment section with hate. i agree he should be on this list. but #1 not even close

Worth mentioning that people are afraid of Voldemort's name because he's cursed it in a way that allows him to know when someone speaks it.
It kinda makes him the image of a dictator, he literally has the power to instantly know when his name is invoked in dissent, and as a result, the power to place a permanent chilling effect on dissent.

Homelander is my favorite currently, hes so narcissistic, problematic, but what makes him WORSE is that he IS predictable in that he will do what is best for himself and there is absolutely NO LIMIT to what he will do to do so! He is Brightburn, grown up, with no parental or moral figures after he viciously murdered them both, as a child.

A few honorable mentions:
Peter Griffin - family guy
Eric Cartman - south park
Frieza - dragon ball franchise
The Shredder - teenage mutant ninja turtles franchise
Count Dracula - various
The wicked witch of the West - the wizard of Oz
Great Leader of Shocker - Kamen Rider franchise
Zeus - various

The Borg predicted the current cultural issues now: a cult around the idea of indoctrination masquerading as being on the right side of history.
I met David Tenant at DragonCon a few years ago. When I told him there are people who were making arguments justifying Killgrave's actions. he was absolutely horrified.

A good number of your most evil villains ever actually have a lot in common with Trump and Republicans like Voldemort or Palpatine. He had his followers, and once he was vanquished, his followers still stayed around and caused trouble and we’re not punished properly. Those writers should rot in jail.
reply

Yes, Palpatine, I concur. From creating the excruciatingly painful Darth Vader suit to giving him presents that trigger memories of his past and make him feel like a threat, everything about him is terrifying. Imagine being tortured by your master after being devoted to him for such a long time.

Pretty surprised Dimentio from Super Paper Mario wasn't on this list, considering he was the only Mario villain ever to canonically kill not just Mario but Peach, Bowser, and Luigi too. He was also willing to destroy every world and everyone on them and found it funny. Dude's a sociopath.
reply

Baron Harkonen from Dune, Imu Sama from One piece, Zed from Pulp fiction, Skynet from Terminator, and pretty much everyone from warhammer 40k. In fact, if this list was serious ALL 30 entries would be filled by warhammer characters, thou it would by quite a debate on who's more evil.
reply

Palpatine is one of the most sadistic Star Wars character he purposely had every piece of Vader suit that was keeping him alive, defective and outdated to cause pain to make him stronger the dark side, but mainly to keep him weak and subservient so he always remained no top
reply

In the first season of the series Fargo, Billy Bob Thornton plays a character named Lorne Malvo. He does evil things for money, but there are MANY points throughout those 10 episodes where he's clearly doing evil things for nothing but his own amusement. THAT'S EVIL!
reply

Micheal Meyers, Freddy Kruger, Walter White- The Fictonal Character, Anthony Bates, Juggernaut, Darth Vader, Lord Voldermort, Pennywise, Eric Cartman, Lord Zedd, some of the most callous, Cold, ruthless, calculating, terrifying, pure evil, villains.
reply

You know. I think one character that's gone under everyone's radar is Harbinger from the mass effect trilogy. Leader of the reapers. I mean, come on. The reapers basically cleanse the galaxy of intelligent life every 50, 000 years. That's pretty damn evil
