I personally wanna mention SKINAMARINK. Its by far the most original and everyone I know who watched it would agree its an unnerving and difficult movie to get through, but if you can push through you will have watched one of the most interesting and weird movies ever. its filmed completely though liminal imagery like TV sets, scattered kids toys, and empty hallways with our 2 protagonist whispering throughout while they try and survive till their parents return after disappearing along with all the windows and doors. I heard someone say saying skinamarink poked through my defenses is like saying a wrecking ball poked through a dilapidated building. its a bizarre and even frustrating film.

saying late night with the devil and Possessed ORIGINAL is a joke, right RIGHT there's nothing original about them. they're STILL Paranormal possession films. and that concept just makes it different as it's not set in a house. but still has all other same same fluff. Host, Unfriended and it's sequel did that exact thing, Talk to me just like so many other PARANORMAL POSSESSION FILMS. Prey, a Predator film. better than AVP requiem, Alien covenant, yes. The invisible man, dear lord NO. awful film. Menus looks to be the only ''original'' but, looks like a Solent green inspired film. so, none of these are that or really ORIGINAL, or fresh.

Don't make up stuff to push agendas WatchMojo. The Invisible Man was feminist yes, but not in a agenda pushing way like you are warbling about, just a brave lady fighting back. Stop pushing the MeToo and radical feminist stuff. I bloody loved that movie, but only because it didn't push agendas down my throat, with Elisabeth Moss outstanding as ever in the lead, and though she is very radical feminist in real life, i never got that from the movie, it was brilliant.

I still have to watch talk to me & late night with the devil. I'm not a possession horror fan at all but I have to see the hype behind talk to me & with other film I've always liked David Dastmalchian. Prey was so good. The Menu is a masterpiece & Invisible Man was phenomenal
reply

First of all, Prey was not a horror movie, nor was it original, as it was a Predator movie in a more primitive time. Second, The Invisible Man, as good as it was, is a remake, thus, by definition, not original.

Late Night With the Devil should be much higher imo. one of the best newer horrors I've seen and I'm a huge fan. Definitely on my recommendation list and I can't wait to see it again

Titane is one of the weirdest flicks I've ever seen. I like weird flicks, specially talking about horror, yet this one was not for me. It was trying too hard to be weird IMO.

Might have to check out Beau Is Afraid. The visuals and general description given here make me imagine a head-on collision between David Lynch and Terry Gilliam.

Please never use a modifier with the word unique. You use the phrase come up most unique. English teachers all over the country just grab their chest and pain.

Have heard great things about Beau is Afraid. yet also in my to watch list still. Most likely my kind of movie yet most likely not for everyone by the looks of it.
reply

2: 14 why is it called barbarian When i hear barbarian i think of an outsider of a civilization or society otherized as uncivilized and foreign
reply

Go bleep yourself watchmojo, really, beau is afraid in number 1, first of all, this movie is an endurance test and it’s a bad movie

Late night with the devil is so good. It scared The living crap out of me still when I bear films of this year in the horror genre

FUNNY JOKE FOR YOU GUYS COMMENTING HERE:
What do lawyers wear to court
LAWSUITS!
LMFAO! ANYONE GET IT WAS THAT FUNNY

reply

I'm shocked that Nope is not on here, especially considering all the underlying themes Jordan Peele manages to convey in his movies
reply

Late night with the Devil was so good. I'm definitely going to research it. Great execution, great acting, great concept.
reply

Censor and Men are quite underestimated IMO. Both kind of artsy flicks, both portraying an specific look. Both great.
