Thank you so much for these poses My hips really need it. Any chance there are yoga poses to open/help with the inner rotation of the hips? I tend to hold tension in my inner rotation, rather than the outer rotation. I can easily do the pigeon pose, with very little tension in my piriformis, lizard, happy baby and butterfly pose. However the inner rotation of my hips seems blocked and every time I test it, I can feel my lower back reacting with lots of tension and pain. Hello Juliana MamI'm a 16 years old girl and I needed a workout that will not only help in weight loss and body toning but will also lengthen and stretch my bodyI have been searching many workout programs and they involve a lot of pilates and squats workoutBut, I really wanted to know that do squatting or exercises focusing on muscle strength and muscle building results in stunted growth or it's a wrong fact? I also want to increase my height by an inch or so. Can you please help me find a solution to my problem?

As a physical therapist these stretches are great for hip mobility. However, Most if not everyone that does have tight hamstrings, abductors or adductors will not be able to stretch the psoas as it is very deep inside and protected by all the aforementioned muscles.

Happy Baby is my FAVORITE pose to teach my students. Especially when I can get them to make Happy Baby Noises, its always so enlightening to see people be silly and get out of their comfort zones.
