While the guys were out shopping you could see in the background two of the ACTUAL Italian brands of tomato sauce. dont believe any of the crap people at little Italy tell you, that brand they said was the most used in Italy. never even heard of it and Im Italian, living in italy. if you want to buy traditional Italian tomato puree/canned tomatoes please buy cirio, De Cecco, petti, mutti. These are just some examples but trust me they are the main brands used in Italy by nonne (grandmas, who are the most demanding cooks) and just Italian people in general. That being said, most traditional neapolitan pizzerias make their own sauce during August/September and then can it for the rest of the year, or so Ive been told by my favourite Neapolitan pizzaiolo.

Late comment, but I'm a bit surprised and off put by ANdy and Brad's California Tomato conversation and making a big deal out of it not being from Italy but the climate being similar, etc: Tomatos don't come from Italy to begin with, they are native to South America and spread upwards before being bred extensively by the Mesoamerican civilizations like the Aztec. Tomato litterally comes from Nahuatl, the Aztec language: Tomatl is the word they used for Green tomatos, while they called red tomatos Xitomatl.

20: 28 - Chris turns his nose up and Brad's sauce because Brad placed all the ingredients together before heating, instead of heating the garlic in oil THEN adding the tomatoes. Hints that you should heat the garlic in the oil, THEN add the tomatoes22: 20 - Chris almost immediately discards sauce Andy's sauce of garlic heated in oil, THEN add tomatoes, in favor of Brad's sauce that he earlier laughed at

I'm only halfway through, but I wanted to express my appreciation for editing a video with Brad normally. While I adore Matt's hilarious ability to highlight how goofy Brad is, it's really refreshing to see a normal edit that highlights how talented he is. Brad's a really thoughtful, creative chef, so it's important that theses traits aren't always lost in goofy editing

You have to cook the tomato sauce a little bit with diced onions on a pan to lose the metallic taste of the can then you use a hand blender and depending on if you you want it chunky or smooth you should also add two crushed garlic cloves but remove it after cooking it in the pan and add some cut basil in i

Yo I just found out that they used the same canned tomatoes as Scarr's pizza I went back to Claire's episode and at 4: 45, it's JUST A WHOLE MOUNTAIN WALL STACK of Bianco Dinapoli. I think this just goes to show how obsessed I am with this series hehehehe. Can't wait for more BA team

I lied in my comment about the dough. This is the video that broke my boyfriend. The fact that they did not have a control and did not compare the exact kind of tomatoes to each other drove him from the room and into the kitchen to shout about the scientific method.

These two scream hella sibling energy. Brad is the older brother who is kind of goofy and oblivious, and Andy is the little brother who is picky and particular about order and cleanliness. I love this dynamic. Claire and Chris are the older ones who they always turn to for help.

I know it seems like all jokes and laughs and everyones having a good time. But honestly, I'm sorry. Andy seems like an argumentative competitive person. POLAR opposite of Brad. I know who I'd rather hangout with, and he doesn't do things to the letter.
