this recipe just feels wrong. Not because of the ingredients and how they fit together, but because Priya is calling it pulao. Pulao is something special to the south asian and middle eastern community and its been perfected over centuries. it feels like youre discrediting the actual dish by using ingredients not traditionally used. I get it, its not supposed to be traditional but it just feels wrong to call this pulao because frankly its not stepping up the indian cuisine at all.

Person who can't eat cilantro checking in It tastes like soap to me. like someone took a bar of Ivory soap and shoved it in my mouth. I don't SMELL soap, really, unless it's in my mouth, which I avoid at all costs. If there's a little bit and it's cooked, no big deal, but I LOVE fresh Mexican food and people just throw a handful of the fresh stuff on top of every dish. If there is fresh cilantro on my meal I have to pick it all out or my meal will taste like dirty dishwater: (

Sorry They don't know what good food is. Pretty food, but not good food. There are a few that are great chefs, but to BAN any veg because you don't like it. How about this Test Kitchen, IF ya'll are better chefs than Priya, make a dish with green bell peppers you would like. Not really a test Kitchen if you just stick to dishes everyone can make. Reason I like watching Brad, his cooking are actually tests. Fermentation is not a joke and can go soooo bad.

Hey Andy even if you don't like green bell peppers maybe instead of being pretentious you could have politely declined tasting her dish. It was extremely rude in my opinion to take half a bowl full instead of just a bite and then throwing it away. I haven't liked Andy at all he has that 'I'm definitely way better at cooking and I know everything' type of person. I won't watch his videos, and definitely won't be after this.

Priya, Cilantro taste like metal to me, also I cannot eat Quinoa, I have tried it and got sick from it. it's like when I have had some surgery in the hospital and they have put an IV in my arm, and after they put the IV in your arm they inject saline to flush the line, and within 3-5 seconds I get a funny metallic taste in my mouth. I Just do not use fresh Cilantro, but I can use coriander seeds in a dish.

Just tried it and it's lovely I did make some adjustments: - Note: you need 1 cup of dried quinoa to make 3 cups of cooked quinoa for this recipe- When cooking the quinoa, I added one chicken stock cube for a nice flavor which meant I didn't need to add salt later on- Nothing was happening when I cooked on low, so I cooked on medium and it was fine- Added some paprika and chilli powder for a kick

Its so inconsiderate and rude to throw away food someone made for you. I dont see the problem in eating/liking green bell peppers. Shame on you Andy, you could of at least picked at the food and left the green bell peppers in the bowl. Food is a privilege where Im from and even though I dont like carrots, I still eat them when someone serves me them, because my mother raised me right.

Im one of those cilantro soap people. For me it tastes and smells exactly like dish soap. I learned about it one time my mom made lasagna, and I kept asking if she rinsed the pan wrong. Also I cant taste the bitter flavor of like brussel sprouts. Im not sure if this is the same gene for both effects or if its unrelated, but I remember the chemical is called PTC.

That was not onion chopping, that was onion mangling so I can see why she did not want anyone to watch her mangle those poor onions on camera. I am also shocked to see the index finger pushing down on the back of the knife blade, which is unstable and is now frowned upon because the knee can flip and cause a preventable cut to that important finger.

I'm sorry, but this is not an easy, low-prep dish to make when you're feeling tired after work. I know she said that but my goodness, there are a lot of ingredients, you need to constantly stir and be attentive, and have a lot of aromatics and spices in addition to prepping the grain ahead of time as well.
