The video is great, but the recipe is terrible. It is called systematic destruction of the soul of a dish. Please dont call this Aloo Gobi. Call it roasted potatoes and cauliflower or whatever. I have made fun of Italians commenting on recipe videos before, now I hang my head in shame at those memories. It is indeed terribly annoying when people do this to a beloved dish.

Seriously Andy, your a chef and you want to know exactly what your eating before you try it? Please help me to understand that Your a chef. you should be able to eat many new and different things to help you to understand the culture of the food etc The Art of understanding your food is doing just that Good luck in your future taste test etc. So much you miss out on.

It's either Americans or that she's a Millennial, but she really seemed to think Bend it Like Beckham was revolutionary or that embracing other cultures is revolutionary. Very strange. You know that the outrage culture is mostly incorrect about things, and life existed before it, right? Or maybe Americans aren't exposed to other cultural media like other countries?

I think this should be called potato cauliflower roast at the best. There is nothing aaloo gobi in this. wont be rude but sorry it is the truth. No garam masala, asafoetida = msg. sure Cringe while watching the recipe. she is a wonderful person, just the recipe is absolutely nuts.

The thing is is that if youre not already familiar with aloo gobi then Priyas dish really isnt much. I mean there are tons of professional non-indian (and indian) chefs creating roasted vegetable recipes that are much more full of texture and art and flavor

I'm honestly really unimpressed with this recipe. There is nothing aloo gobi about it and rather a roasted veggie dish with turmeric. I think she has a great personality and her intention is great. But this isnt indian food nor is it indianish.

This looks so delicious, Im eager to try it I just wonder about the asafoetida, it was described as MSG but does it actually contain it or just does a similar thing? I get migraines from MSG and I would really like to try cooking with asafoetida

I'm very curious as to what type of paprika you're using. I'm always very confused when paprika is said to have heat because the typical paprika I buy at the store (such as the McCormick brand) has no heat whatsoever and is really only for color.

Priya, hing is not Indian MSG. It is highly used for food that are prone to give indigestion. It an amazing spice for stomach aches. So please stop comparing it to the Indian MSG and making this wonderful spice look like a bad ingredient.
