Sponsored by Swanson Join Carla Music in the Bon Apptit Test Kitchen as she makes Thanksgiving stuffing. This easy stuffing recipe, or dressing if you prefer, will be a staple on your Thanksgiving dinner menu for years to come. James Dooling: I developed a new dressing recipe this year. I've made it six times since early October. I'm feeding two REAL food snobs this year among my other guests. It's a toasted croissant, cornbread, brioche, and sourdough stuffing with chestnuts and Lyonnaise sausage using traditional American stuffing herbs. I'm testing my last batch as I write this. Pray for me.

BA. this is just a commercial for Swanson. This is definitely not part of the Thanksgiving special about Creating THE Perfect Thanksgiving Meal. BA chefs can only use what is made between the other chefs. THE STOCK POT. This makes me feel slightly angry. I love BA but don't confuse people with not making this video clearly not part of the Thanksgiving Special with Creating THE Perfect Thanksgiving Meal. Yeah, I guess using Swanson's is an option for people to make but THIS IS WAY BENEATH BA and what I believe BA stands for in values, principles and so much more.

here in the comments because I knew there would be some banter about. stuffing. you guys, whatever you put on the table for thanksgiving whether it be stove top boxes stuffing or homemade- youre all missing the point of thanksgiving which is a time to celebrate family, food, traditions, whatever the occasion. your thanksgiving is up to you Make whatever you want to make

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that the series that the stuffing video was in was filmed during the summer and we dont know when this video was filmed either. This could have been a stockpiled video for when thanksgiving came along or they decided to make multiple stuffing recipes.

My familys traditional stuffing is really similar to this, but includes clams, mushrooms, and black olives. Is it considered an affront to culinary mores by most of America? Yes. Do I care? No. It has a really good umami flavor that pairs well with the more mild turkey flavor and its amazing.

Bon App, I love y'all, but who decided that there needed to be a remake of the stuffing and NOT the mashed potatoes? Unless the others thicken up the mash for Carla and Molly in the final Making Perfect episode, I expect some quality mashed potatoes to be made in a separate video as compensation

I liked the video (literally and figuratively, but I thought Rick and Chris were in charge of the Thanksgiving stuffing. On a side note, this recipe looks like it would pair nicely with the mashed potato dish Carla and Molly made; kinda like how crispy croutons would complement potato soup.

Ppl call it either dressing or sruffing NOTHING WIERD ABOUT CALLING IT DRESSING unless youre a nit picking twit poking fun at centuries old louisiana culinary tradition pertaining to this dish. And fyi they call it dressing bcuz it DRESSES the plate but noone woukd expect Carla to know that
