There are exactly 12 types of steak, no more, no less. Wait. what's that? Ok, we just got word that there are actually a few more types of steak, but what defines a steak anyway? Amiel Stanek is here to break down the features of 12 types of steak based on cut, cattle breed, diet and age and how long the meat was aged. Whether it's the always popular Angus T-bone or the Piedmontese porterhouse, each steak has its own unique attributes and quality is truly in the eye of the beholder. Chris Sheppard: Amiel, this is a really fascinating video - thanks for the excellent content I would be interested in seeing a similar video done but concentrating on the cuts that would be easy to find and moderately affordable for the average American. Most of us aren't going to be able to find (or afford) a 3 Piedmontese porterhouse steak.

okay, so maybe I'm just uncultured, but like. are you SUPPOSED to eat the fat? whenever I have a fatty piece of meat, it literally makes me gag. I have never understood why people talk about fat in steak as if it's some kind of holy grail of flavor. what am I doing wrong?

This doesn't make sense? Why don't you make a series out of this and test it well? T-Bone vs T-Bone etc? Like this it's just for entertainment - but not why I clicked this video in the first place. No dislike, just wanted to let you know.

Wow. That sure looks tasty But, don't you know that that animal died with fear in? So, technically, you're eating the bad-bad 'negative. ' Which makes you heavier. Kinda just like fat Hahah.

Congrats on pronouncing Herefordshire correctly. most Americans seem determined to call most of our counties 'shire' like shyre as though we're about to take a ring to freaking Mordor.

something i've always wondered RE cattle - do people eat the udders? it seems like a thing that could be a thing, but i've never seen anyone mention that it's a thing.

Cant believe you wasted all of those beautiful hunks of meat by cooking them all Medium-Rare just gross. I like my steak cooked how about yall(Medium preferably)

Hats off on the fake chewing sounds on the voice over. Really did well syncing it up. The body language doesn't sync up as well but the chewing is convincing

i wonder when he went to record the voice over for this if he pretended he was tasting the meat or if they gave him the meat to re-taste so it sounds authentic lol

Am I a psycho for cutting the fat cap off before I cook steaks? I cant stand fat at all and cut it off all meat before I cook or eat it It makes me gag
