The hardest cooking task is something that no one at the test kitchen can do. I worked at it for over a year before I was successful and even experienced bakers fail more often than succeed. It is making salt rising bread (or pioneer bread. It is by far the best tasting bread I have ever eaten. (you toast it with just butter on top) If you are smart and skillful enough give it a try but don't waist time taping until you master the technique.

If you want to learn chocolate go to the Chocolate Alchemist online he has some great videos and will respond to your questions. He is also the best place to get beans raw or roasted. the secret for me is that if I am pouring into molds I can make small batches but if I am trying to do something fancy I make a lager batch because it will keep its temper longer. The important thing to remember when tempering is that you can always retemper.

I honestly am so surprised people are so weird about cracking an egg one handed. I don't even remember how I learned to do it or when I started doing it, I just remember the first time someone was like when they saw me do it lolol. Not trying to brag just like? Is it difficult? Maybe people think about it too hard

This video should have been titled Dishes that were the hardest to master. This video should have shown us how to poach an egg or make a rue. Basics that can be really hard. Ill take tempering chocolate and making a parchment piping cone. I still love you guys.

I would love to see some kind of Cooking-Olympics where they all have to do certain tasks and get points (not just cooking, also something like Who can clean a tool the fastest? etc or a game show like Who wants to be a Millionaire? but with cooking-questions.

Before, I can't properly crack an egg even with two hands. And after working on the breakfast shifts for a few continuous months on McDonald's, I am breaking eggs with one hand on the lip of a stainless measuring cup without eggshells.

Regarding the potato chips, there are such a thing as chipping potatoes. They are less starchy and naturally have less sugars than table stock potatoes, therefore they don't need to be washed or soaked before frying.

I would like a video where the chefs talk about food or ingredients they absolutely dislike and talk about why they don't like them. Maybe even have someone else make a dish with the ingredients they dislike.
