In this episode, they blindly taste test snacks from all over the world and try to guess the flavor and country of origin of each Lubaba: I love BA to death and I have so much respect for the entire cast/crew, but the fact that Priya & Sohla fully grew up with Indian/Bengali snack food and BA doesn't even take the time to understand that the SAME THING is called different names in different cultures, and that masala mix is accepted in Western cultures but that the recognition isn't given to the cultural names of the food item? And yet a simple mention of garam masala is enough to give someone else recognition instead? Can we say whitewashing culture? Please do better. We know you can.

I feel like at these pro chef taste test challenges, Chris doesn't blow everyone else out of the water as much as we all think he might. He tied with 5 other people for 1st place in the cheese test and was in the middle of the pack for the cured meats. He does really well with dishes, but doesn't seem to thrive at these taste test challenges. If I were putting money I this, I feel like usually Delaney is a better bet.

What is it with Delany and finishing near the top for all these challenges almost irrespective of what the challenges are? I want to see Delany do a limited series where he does all the special BA segment challenges like Gourmet Makes, Pro Chef Learns, Recreating etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does comparably if not better than the main hosts for each of these bits.

i am super enjoying yall and this chan & am invested. A friendly suggestion to the video editor - could you possibly put a drop shadow or outlined txt when you have white txt on a light background(i. e. yellow in this case) ty

Purple Takis are disgusting. The red bag is where it's at. Walmart had their own version which tasted exactly the same. Not sure if they quit making them or if my Walmart just stopped carrying them.

masala is not a flavor, masala literally translates to spice. If youre going to give a point for masala you should def give a point for namkeen which is an Indian snack made with masalas -. -

I feel like Chris being sick gave him an unfair disadvantage: ( But also probably made him taste more like a normal person. so maybe it was a good way to level the playing field.

Its sad that priya gets the name of the masala mixture absolutely right ie 'namkeen' and they didnt score her for that Bcz thats exactly what it is called and not 'masala'

Sohla was actually right when she guessed the Indian mix to be chanachur. Thats what its called in Bengali- her native language (which is also Indian by the way)
