Join Chris Morocco in the Bon Apptit Test Kitchen as he makes BA's best lasagna. Why in the world would we tell you to make meatballs, brown them, and then break them into piecesfor a rag? Sounds crazy, but its the best way we found to sear a big batch of meat without overcooking it. This MeatballMethod yields deep color (a. k. a. flavor) along with tender meat. If you want to use fresh pasta, go for it, you overachiever you. We also tested the recipe with no-boil noodles, but found they soak up a lot more sauce and the lasagna loses its wonderful ooziness;

I was with him until he didn't put any sauce on the top layer. To each his own, but I don't want a dried out piece of baked dough on my lasagne. It's very important to sear the meat and brown it, not steam it. I usually use a really large pan and do it in batches, but I might give the meatball method a try. If you make both sauces ahead of time it's all quite manageable. You're not making the pasta sheets after all, which my mother always did.

Less is more does definitely not apply to this video, instead of meatballs just put less of the minced meat inside the pan, milk in the base Bolognese sauce is a offense, de cecco is pronounced in an incredible wrong way, definitely don't put your pasta in cold water after cooking it you loose half of the flavour. Still professionally executed, but there are simpler ways of achievening the same outcome

I saw the thumbnail and thought awesome, always wanted to try making a lasagna, gonna go to the store, buy all the ingredients and make one today. After watching this decided Im gonna need at least 2 weeks to mentally prepare myself for the failure thats going to eventually happen and for the mess that Im gonna have to clean up afterwards

I had a girlfriend who made lasagna with spaghetti noodles. See how I said HAD and not HAVE? Yea because no one needs that kinda negativity in their life. I mean we didn't break up because of lasagna but looking back I feel like the Pastafarian flying space meatball said to me she is a sinner my son

I would have loved to have heard why there was no cheese involved. That said, between the 'Spoon down' and finding out that Chris and Andy were not only friends in school but goth, this makes the list for one of my favorite videos.

.. . una lasagna (one sole sheet (singular) of pasta). .. due lasagne (two or more (plural) sheets of pasta). .. you can't make a dish called 'lasagna', as there are involved always some sheets of pasta (lasagne). ..

I have a quedtion, I am a student and therefore I only have a toaster oven in my tiny apartment. That thing does not fit a pan. Would it be okay to just leave the pot on the smallest stove pit on low for a while?

Me, a college student thinking I'm gonna make this instead of buying fast food: I'm gonna make this instead of eating fast food. 30 minutes later at a McDonald'sHi, can I get 3 big Mac bundles and 3 large sprites.

Loved the video and great recipe only thing I do different is use fresh store bought lasagna sheets not dried ones and I put a layer of sheets on the bottom so it holds together better: ) its all preference though

Why camera was moving so much? Did the camera guy forgot the stand or did they suddenly found out this old technique. I watch these videos at 1. 5 or 1. 75 times the normal speed, and it was really disconcerting.
