Rawlston Makes Stewed Chicken and Breadfruit From the Home Kitchen

Join Rawlston Williams in his home kitchen as he makes stewed chicken and breadfruit. This stewed chicken recipe ideally uses a yardbird (a free-range chicken) marinated in a mixture of spices, including ginger, bay leaves, culantro, broadleaf thyme, gochujang and more. Rawlston prepares the breadfruit three ways; roasted, steamed and fried. You really can't go wrong with any of these methods

For those of you looking at the like dislike and coming to the common sections looking for answers, let me provide a bit of insight.
Recently it was revealed that BA was refusing to push recipes that were exotic in addition to drastically underpaying their POC staff, leading to several major resignations.
Instead of addressing the systematic racism present in the company, BA has hired more POC staff, and as we can see by this video, are trying to push these recipes that are foreign to their American Audience.
But we still don't know if they are being treated fairly, getting the pay they deserve.
The dislikes are not to Rawlston, but rather to show that this pandering won't fix their mistakes until the community knows that BA is fairly treating their employees.

Rowlston, thanks for the recipe, I learned a lot. I never knew moss has other cullinary uses; I've only used it to accelerate protein coagulation in brewing. I grew scotch bonnets and Jamaican mushroom peppers this year, excited to try them out with this recipe. Does your culture smoke with pimento tree like I've seen in other recipes?
To the people in the comment section: you won't strike a meaningful blow to systemic/institutional racism by trolling BA and disliking the new videos. Try writing your elected officials, becoming involved in local politics, and building community around local food systems, art and holistic health and healing trauma in our world. Be proactive, not reactive.

I understand people being angry at BA, but only disliking the videos with the new BIPOC hires will not tell management what you want. Instead, they'll think you don't like the chefs. Rawlston seems like a fun guy and good chef, food looks really good. Try to express your opinion in a way that does not carry the possibility of damaging the innocent party in this.

I know people are mad at BA, but they did try to fix things with everyone, some wanted to stay and some were tired of the company which I get, but don't hurt these awesome new people with dislikes cause you're mad some of your favorites decided to leave. Many did stay.

Some of these new hosts look to be involved in other cooking programs, rather than being listed as BA editor or something. I really like the idea of bringing in people this way, means we'll get to see an even greater variety of chefs and dishes

I don't like the other new additions to the cast so far, but Rawlston is an exception. He's very charismatic and easy to listen too. The food looks great too, I wish breadfruit was easy to get where I live.

Ok, what happened?
I love BA for its main cast(u know the Claire, Brad, all the amazing others) and i like this dude as well. but the comments confuse me.
Did they fire the OG cast or something?

That was an interesting receipt, even though i cant eat it due my chicken meat allergy xD Still I will neither like or dislike - good content yes, also i miss old times but still. pls admit stuff.

Loving the new talent at BA so far! Everyone has been knowledgeable, chill to watch, and serving up awesome dishes that people of color can relate to. Keep the representation coming, BA/CN!
