Phoenicia Diner, located in Upstate New York's Hudson Valley, is proud to call itself a diner in the middle of nowhere, providing guests an escape from the hustle and bustle of the New York metropolitan area. But don’t underestimate this small-town spot it serves 160, 000 people per year, goes through 12, 000 pounds of brisket during that time to make its popular Reubens and corned beef hash cured in-house and serves 1, 000 of its famous pancakes on its busiest days. Recognize this diner You might have spotted it dressed up as Pip’s Diner in the last season of the Apple TV show Severance. 00: 00 Intro 00: 25 Opening Up the Phoenicia Diner 00: 35 Making the Most Popular Pancakes 01: 55 Busy Season at the Diner 02: 20 Preparing Corned Beef 03: 34 Meat Deliveries 03: 54 Popularity on Social Media 04: 50 Reuben Sandwich 05: 02 Corned Beef Hash 05: 40 Meet the Staff 06: 15 Phoenicia Diner’s Handmade Bread 08: 15 History of the Diner 08: 45 Filming Apple TV’s Severance Download the Eater app here: Credits: Producer/Director: Gabby Lozano Senior Video Director: Murilo Ferreira Camera: Murilo Ferreira, Carla Francescutti Production Sound Mixer: Carl Welden Editor: Howie Burbidge Assistant Editor: Christine Ring Subtitles: Saga Translations Executive Producer: Stephen Pelletteri Head of Production: Stefania Orrù Supervising Producer, Development: Gabriella Lewis Director of Production: Michelle Fox Post-Production Supervisor: Lucy Morales Carlisle Audience Engagement: Frances Dumlao ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As ever, Eater delivers a delightful experience. So cool to see something as special as this place. The vibes of the team and the owner are really amazing. I imagine eating that hash whilst staring out at the view would be mind blowing!

Host and servers suck here. At least in my experience. It was even slow. We got greeted by this long hair and bearded male you can see in video. Bleh
